    10/10 recommend!
My husband and I had the best experience here! We aren’t overly experienced riders (tend to ride when we go on vacations so technically considered beginners). Our guide was absolutely amazing (we don’t quite remember her name - potentially Sarah - but she was from Germany). She spent time explaining what to do and why, before we ever got on our horse. She made sure we were comfortable once we got on and took tons of pictures for us! We were able to go to (and through) the creek, up and down hills (fast up one) and even had the opportunity to trot at the end. We conversed the entire ride, the scenery was amazing, horses so well behaved and loved. We even saw a bunny and a deer on our ride. We hope to return in the future and do one of the longer rides (only did an hour today). Thanks for having us!

    Denis and Carol’s Excellent Adventure!
Excellent stables. Well trained horses, excellent staff. They were able to accommodate for the needs of both experienced and intermediate riders! Great New York trails with some easy and more challenging sections.

    Great ride!
Very nice staff. We took the 1-hour scenic ride with three teenagers, all with very little experience in riding. The ride was easy, safe, beautiful and not boring. They take you through a little wooden area through little streams and vegetation. We saw some deer, too.

    Not your average horseback ride
My husband and I had a great trip out on our horses with Erika (sp?) as our lead guide. The pre ride instructions were funny but made sense once you stepped into the stirrup. You’ll never think of a tube of toothpaste or ‘Jesus take the wheel’ the same again! Beautiful scenery, engaging conversation. Erika knew these horses and knew what they were thinking with great staff helping us mount up and dismount. Only regret was we didn’t bring our phones for a picture of Kasper and Praline.

07/29/22 our group My daughter, my niece, my girlfriend and myself arrived early 9am for a 10am ride. The girls enjoyed meeting the cats while we waited for our very engaging guide, Erika, to give us the dos and don'ts while on our trail ride. We were each introduced and paired with a horse that fit our riding skills and temperament. We loved being able to engage with the horse and walking them out of the stable. loved that the children went from being apprehensive to owning their ride. the trail was great, with enough hills and trees to give us novices a chance to practice the skills needed on this ride. My favorite part was by the creek, brook, which allowed the horses to drink to their content. Also, loved that my daughter was in the 2nd to Erika in the lead horse and was engaged in conversation. Erika was an amazing host, and we like to thank Alyssa picking up the rear and ensuring nothing went awry. I think this experience can be enhanced by allocating some time encouraging riders to maneuvering their respective horse once back at the corral. Thank you, Erika and Alyssa Fae, Hermoine, TaterTot, oops forgot one horse. loved the experience.

This ride went beyond my expectations! Would definitely recommend to anyone, no matter what your experience or age. We were a group ranging from 30-65 years old, some of us with no experience. The intro was so thorough that you really felt comfortable getting on your horse. The trails were gorgeous and interesting, with ups and downs, and crossing streams. Our guide was so personable and funny, it made the whole experience so much fun! Definitely check out when you visit the region for a fun activity!

we had a really nice ride through a wooded area. it was a cold, raw day, but the ride was pleasant. i was worried about the mud, but the horses were sure footed and did just fine. erica was our guide and she was aware that i had a fear of falling from a prior accident (non horse related) but she talked me through and gave me confidence to go up a bit of a steep hill and then down another. having a great experienced guide is a plus for me. scotch was a sweet horse to ride. my husband rode gringo who is a large horse and very gentle. would love to come again!

Be sure to ask for a reservation well in advance as you cannot just drive up and expect to ride. This is a well run stable and popular. All kinds of rides depending on your skill level. Well broke horses and wonderful guide.

Thank you for saying this! We do book appointments ahead of time to make sure that everyone gets the best matched horse for them - something not possible on a whim! Because the same people that reserve the horses and know them best are the people that guide the rides, understand that we may take some time to get back to requests as we are out on the trails ourselves with riders, away from the office!

We went there with two preteen daughters who never rode a horse but we had such a great time. The trail was interesting to both horse and rider. It included some interesting features like crossing a creek, open field for trotting if you feel comfortable with that and meandering through wooded areas.

In other places there is usually two guides per trip but they had one in the front, middle and the rear. Very through in their orientation especially for beginners. We would definitely do it again whenever we are in the Lake Seneca wine trail area.

We thoroughly enjoyed our ride with Erika, Tater Tot and Hermione! It is obvious that Erika is passionate about her horses and she wants your experience to be top notch. She provides great info before and during the ride. Take the time to read the info she shares on her website. You'll understand why you can't just walk up and ride the horses. You won't be disappointed and you'll enjoy seeing someone who loves what they do and wants to share that with others!

Spent a week at the adult camp last week. Erika, barn owner, and hostess extraordinaire has a wealth of information. The people who work at the barn were wonderful and we were afforded opportunities to learn about feeding; care; shoeing, bits, and so much more. The atmosphere is relaxed and we were able to experience and ride different horses but also able to just spend some cuddly time with some of the other horses. We had great food - it was plentiful and so many different eating experiences but all took the particular quirks and needs of the group in mind. The housing was wonderful - we stayed at an air b'n b from 1816 which was like staying at a 5 star hotel. All amenities and well appointed. Beautiful view of the lake from the house.
