What can I say about this museum. The price of the museum is free which makes it attractive. The problem I had is there is nothing here. Its mostly one floor and its mostly a martin wong exhibit. If you are a fans of his then you will be in heaven. Currently there are 3 exhibits which should on the... More

After living in New York City for close to two decades, I visited the Bronx Museum of the Arts for the first time after learning that it was hosting a Martin Wong exhibition. I went to the Museum because they were hosting a Martin Wong exhibit. 5 galleries of Martin's work including paintings large and small, ephemera, writings, photographic studies for paintings, etc. Truth to tell, I had never heard of the museum. It's easy to get to on the D train. The neighborhood is a bit dicey. My understanding is that the... More

A very nice place to hold community events and receptions. The various gallery and exhibit openings are an inexpensive way to enjoy an evening. Get on the mailing list!

The space is very nice and they had the Young Lords Exhibit up and it was an interesting story. Definitely worth checking out when in the Bronx.

Don't remember why it is free but it is. Very electric mix of shows, leaning toward the Hispanic culture. Enjoy the visit and then walk south down the Concourse for a Hispanic meal. There may be some street vendors around.

This is a wonderful museum. It's small but very beautiful. It has very interesting exhibits all the time. The programs offered are incredible! And there are many different kinds of programs. They have had an art competition and a Coquito tasting; a Flamenco christmas performance; a screening of "the weight of the nation", with a healthy version of lunch and... More
