We've been to many, many zoos! This by far is the best yet! We went on November 25th, cold but sunny. Few people, animals were all happy, the habitats were extraordinary! Hardly any concrete enclosures... natural grass and actual dirt, with beautiful trees all around! Amazing! Highly recommend!

Nice stroll thru the Zoo. A few exhibits were closed, but light crowd on Sunday of Thanksgiving Day weekend. We walked around for 2 plus hours and saw most of the park. We went to Arthur Ave for a great dinner after.

My daughter had a homework assignment to visit the zoo free of charge, so why not! The zoo hasn't changed in many years. The animals are plentiful and exotic, my favorite is the reptile house as well as the birdhouse. My daughter really enjoyed the butterfly house which did house many many species of butterflies. Just a sidenote some of... More

It's easy to get to on the subway. The zoo is attractive enough, feels like a walk in a park however most of the enclosures for the animals are way to inadequate, with little or no interactive toys for them so you get to see very bored animals. The food in the main cafe was very average however the staff are... More

I strongly suggest if you live in the area to get the yearly pass for a family. Going once at that price pays for itself. You cant see the entire zoo in one day comfortably. The one thing I find disturbing is that after paying the high general admission price they gauge you to see other exhibits within the zoo... More

The Bronx Zoo is the biggest zoo in New York City and is a wonderful place to visit. We love the Boo at the Zoo Halloween celebration and try to go every year in October, see the carved pumpkins, the bats, the owls, the jack o'lantern exhibits. It's sprawling and impossible for us to see the entire zoo in a... More

My family and I visited the zoo the last week in October and I must say it was quite chilly. We had an amazing time and even though our schedule did not allow us to tour every exhibit, we had a great time. My daughter loves animals and we traveled from Long Island area for her to experience this zoo.... More

Anybody who is visiting or lives in NYC should visit the Bronx Zoo - this place is fantastic! It is interesting to see a mix of old and newer exhibits, and there is something for everyone. If you go between late April/early May and early November, you can go visit the Children's Zoo (not just for kids), ride a camel,... More
