I love coming to the Bronx Zoo. My family loves coming to see the new babies every year. It's a great place to come with family. There's something for everyone to enjoy young or old. If you live in NY the membership is a great way to go. It gives you access to Aquarium and the Prospect Park Zoo. The... More

Over a hundred years old. Modern zoo. 265 acres. Well kept. New displays and experiences under construction.

You can visit the whole zoo in less than 4 hours (if you are a fast walker), I liked it, make sure to catch the scheduled sea lion feeding session (I believe it was at 3pm, but double check). The birds section was cool, and so was the congo gorilla forest. Also if you still have some energy after finishing... More

I went with 2 cousins, one was 8. We wanted our money back, which was ironic because we went on the free day😀. The animals were taken out of their usual exhibit and placed in Safari World which is a paid tram ride so most exhibits were empty. A lot of the exhibits were pay to enter. This zoo really... More

It snowed hard the day we went, but we went anyway and the zoo was deserted. We still didn't manage to see all of the animals. I found the signs to be a little misleading and unfortunately when we arrived at the zoo, the woman in the ticket kiosk just rudely ignored us for about 3 minutes, which irritated me... More

Every year I buy the membership. We have been here so many times and always exciting. I always avoid a Wednesday (when its free admission) and school holidays. The lines are so long its just not worth it. The best part is the gondola ride from asia. As you are suspended in the air from your car, the animals are... More

Take a trip to the Bronx Zoo and you will feel like your somewhere else. The place is beautiful and the attractions are plentiful. Wear comfortable shoes and be prepared to walk because the zoo is really big and you won't want to miss anything. A really nice day out for the family or just with you're favorite person.

We visited the Bronx zoo twice, in january 2012 and February 2017. In both the two visits we liked the place, very clean and also full of nice trees and nature. If you want to spend 2 hours in relax, with no confusion, looking at animals, I suggest this place. But with a warning: in the winter season there are... More

This Zoo is famous although it is not as modern in keeping animals closer to normal habitats as other zoos. Regardless, it has a beautiful setting and many species of animals to see. The park setting and neighboring botanical gardens offer tables for picnic lunches if you are so inclined. Important place to visit if you are near.

One of the best places to take kids- they love it and you will love watching them have a great time. Bring your own lunch and drinks- get their early and stay late. Buy the all inclusive ticket- AAA discounts available if you are a member and buy on line in advance.
