I have started using the Brewster Library as they always have a best seller available or can get it quickly on the Hudson Valley Library system. They are always polite and helpful.. The Head Librarian Gina and her asst Stephen have even assisted me in getting Museum passes! Yet all the front desk people are always very professional as well.

Their long hours have made it extremely convenient to come in and pick up items so I highly recommend them. A great asset to Brewster!

As a regular patron, I am proud of our local library and the services it provides to Brewster. Their website provides all pertinent information, and the staff is professional, always willing to help.
Aside from the obvious service of lending books, the library offers various adult and children's classes, free museum passes for local attractions and computer access for patrons. Check it out!

Wonderful staff. However the library grew out of its original structure 40 years ago. I've amazing staff is what keeps it going.

I am often disappointed when looking for books here. More often than not they do not have what I am looking for. The aisles between the shelves are very narrow. They offer very little in the way of programming for adults as opposed to other libraries in surrounding towns and cater mainly to children.

The place needs renovation right away. The people are very friendly and nice but the building smells mold.it is a very old building.

My husband was chasing his genealogy from the west coat to the east coast, where he was born. The Brewster Library had some info we needed, very nice people. In one corner there was someone teaching English to someone who looked Puerto Rican in origin. The town has had an influx of migrating people so I thought this was a generous touch from the Library to help bring the people into the United States understanding our language.

The only thing I missed was finding the painter who did the painting over the fireplace. An interesting piece.

This formerly homey and friendly library has undergone a dramatic transformation. No longer a friendly atmosphere; staff is now being browbeaten by a nasty new director. Several staff members have resigned because this. Unfortunately, she has the Board of Trustees wrapped around her little finger. The Devil does not wear Prada; she wears purple.

Small library with big heart. Can find most what you are looking or will order from other libraries in system. Offering all types of programs to participate in, not just for reading. Nice to have museum passes for the patrons to use. Use of computers and wifi could be better.

I grew up in Brewster and the public library was there, through it all. It was where I did research for high school history projects as well as undergraduate papers for college. It is a small library when compared to some of the neighboring towns, however it retains the of the village the way it used to be.

Michele the librarian in late aft & eve is outstanding. Knowledgeable of books and friendly. Always available and never distracted.
Variety of books is excellent but they order within the system and get them quick. I visit several libraries around NY and this is very good. Computer speed has doubled and copies are cheap and clear.
