About
The Tones family has been growing grapes in the Finger Lakes for 5 generations, supplying grapes for juice and wine to many wineries. Now, as the new owners of Stever Hill Vineyards, they own a winery on beautiful Keuka Lake themselves and are big supporters of other local businesses as well. Come try their wines in their beautifully renovated tasting room!! Cheers

Had a wonderful outdoor tasting with a super knowledgeable man explaining about the wines. He was nice enough to offer a dry traminette, which was great.
They sell cheeses and crackers on site as well.

Even with COVID they are making it work. No reservation and we were quickly seated on a Saturday. Happy with our flight and our food.

My husband and I recently visited Stever Hill Vineyards for a wine and cheese pairing on Labor Day 2016. We did not have to sign up in advance for the wine and cheese pairing - we saw it advertised in the tasting room and were able to do the tasting on the spot! For $10, we received six generous wine samples, four of which were pre-selected and paired with local cheeses. We found their chardonnay especially delicious (so much so that we bought a bottle to take home), and enjoyed the pairing with a local strawberry cheese. Additionally, we were able to sample grapes that the wine was made from as well as table grapes. We also got to take home a tasting glass.

The barn in which the tasting room is located is beautifully renovated, and what I enjoyed most about this tasting (we had done several in the area) was the service. The worker who was conducting our tasting had worked at the winery since it had opened and was able to answer any question we had about the vineyard, wines, and wine making process (in addition to recommending a tasty spot in the area for dinner!). I never felt rushed to finish a sample like I did at several other tastings we had done that day.

If you are in the area, I recommend stopping at Stever Hill!

This was our first tasting (out of a total of 8?) and it was beautiful! Friendly staff, i think family run. We were the only ones there and given the royal treatment! We watch a slideshow of their vineyards and the process of making wine. We went home with several bottles, the riesling and blueberry are delicious!!!

Of the five wineries we visited this trip - Stever Hill stands out as my favorite. It is such a charming location the building is beautiful inside and like most places the views of the vineyards are great, they also had the most beautiful petunias I have ever seen - and tipped me off to some great local greenhouses. The staff are incredibly engaging, knowledgeable and accommodating - we were pretty hungry so they provided cutting boards and knives so we could buy some cheese and snack as we sampled! Now to the wines - the real reason we go to wine country - I loved every single one I tried - as did all my wino partners - I think this was the only place I heard everyone say that! My two favorites were Old Barn Red and Blueberry wine - in hindsight I wish I had bought a couple more bottles of each - oh well it just gives me an excuse to make my way back there soon!!

We really like the feel of this vineyard. It is cozy with all the exposed wood and doesn't feel commercial. The old bard red and the blueberry wine were phenomenal. Service was friendly. Definitely worth a stop off the beaten path to come here.

Though not on the official trail (i.e. the list in the "passport"), this place is definitely worth a stop. The building is new and bright, the staff is young, knowledgable, and friendly, and the wine is surprisingly well balanced for such a young winery. Be sure to ask the staff for suggestions of other places to stop in the area; they named some great places we wouldn't have known of otherwise.

We have been to the wine region before and like most travelers went from Hunt Country to Dr. Franks on the main road. This trip we noticed a sign pointing to Stever Hill and made the effort to find it. We were not disappointed! Surrounded by hundreds of acres of vineyards the spanking new tasting room and outdoor deck were very inviting. We sampled the wines and purchased several of the Heritage Red as my wife and I agreed it was the best dry red we had sampled on our trip! A great stop on the Keuka Lake wine trail!

Stopped here and sampled some of the white wines. They were good and reasonably priced. We purchased a couple bottles of reisling and they didn't last long in our wine cellar...wished we had bought more.
The winery has been remodeled about a year ago and is delightful.

Has been recently remodeled. and re-opened with new ownership. Do not miss this vineyard! Reisling fans! The Riesling (blue bottle) is wonderful. We bought one and wished we had more!! The atmosphere is very friendly. Nothing pretentious here. There is something for everyone. Make this a stop! It's worth it!
