Nice hand on museum for kids
Sep 2021 • Family
It is a nice and hands on museum. My 6 yrs old love it. It has indoor and outdoor, so kids can have some out door fun. Compare with other kids museum in NYC… This is worth for you to stop by if you are looking for a stop on the way to Niagara fall or Buffalo.

best luck on week days
Apr 2019
We have taken both our children as well as a few nieces and nephews over the years. We even did a Girl Scout over night there. It's a good place to spend a few hours we have had the best luck on week days less packed and tuesday - friday I believe they are open 10 am- 4 pm so it works out well after lunch. Staff has always been great and bathrooms have always been clean when we have been there.

Sour if the moment fun
May 2019 • Family
My kids absolutely love this place and it doesn’t cost an arm and a leg to get in. Just wish they had more options for snacks (they have some) like pizza or hotdogs but you can bring your own and eat outside, I feel it is worth the trip

Family fun weekend
Mar 2019 • Family
The kids had a blast. It was too cold to enjoy the outdoor end of the discovery center. Was a bit small, and tight to move around. Had a lot of fun hands on activities. Each play center was a learning, experience and great for pretend play of real life jobs, shopping ect. Was a bit on the expensive side.

Better than expected!
Aug 2018 • Family
I didn't have huge expectations for this little place, but my 10 & 7 year old were entertained for hours. I was amazed at how much was packed into this building and how well it was all laid out. They weren't just entertained, they were educated and enthralled. the community of Binghamton should be proud of their attention to this children's center. It was a rainy day so we kept our outside visit short. I was concerned my 10 year old would get bored, but she loved it too. There is more education than they were ready to absorb, but it was great having them take in some things.

Fun and educational -- your kids will enjoy!
Jul 2018 • Family
Lots of learning activities that are fun, including NY State-related phenomenon (e.g. Erie Canal exhibit where kids learn how locks work by a hands-on pumping activity). They can build railroad tracks with model trains, explore an ambulance and play EMT, go into a large scale grocery (Weis Markets) and put items in a cart and then scan them at the register, along with play money to pay for the groceries, and lots more.
There is also an outdoor Storybook Garden which is free for all, which is nicely set up.
Become a member and your admission to the Discovery Center is free; become a member of the Roberson Museum and your admission is $3. Otherwise, admission can be seen as steep, particularly if you have more than one child.

Fantastic place for kids!
Jul 2018
We couldn't have been happier with this place. We took our 3 grandkids (ages 3,4 and 5) to the Discovery Center not sure what to expect but it was a hit from the very beginning. As soon as we got out of the car and they saw the outdoor garden area they were hooked. At first they went from one site to another and then went back and really saw and played with each thing. Even the restrooms were interesting for them with the animal paintings. We were there for a couple of hours and still didn't see it all. They have all said that they want to go back next year on vacation.
