The distillery is in an old body shop. Seems popular with the locals for Friday happy hour. The bartender makes good drinks with interesting names. We did the tasting but since we usually drink whiskey and vodka in mixed drinks and not as shots, we weren’t impressed with the products themselves and can’t really judge.

As I previously said, however, the bartender makes good cocktails at reasonable prices with their products, so it may be worth a stop.

Stopped in unplanned and got a tour and did a tasting. The distiller is an intelligent, dedicated-to-excellence entrepreneur. We learned a lot on our tour, and thought the whiskies were really good. It makes a trip to Beacon even more worthwhile. It's just an old garage, but the education you get into distilling makes it so much more. It's part of the evolution of the Hudson Valley into the new Napa.

This is a MUST-DO if you're legal drinking age and in the area!
Some girlfriends and I made an impromptu stop at Dennings Point Distillery this weekend and it absolutely made the trip. Karl and his assistant were gracious and generous hosts for an enlightening & rollicking tasting of their craft spirits. Karl is such a character-warm, entertaining and of course also a master chemist with an astounding knowledge of distillation science. He's like a more intellectual, less bitter Anthony Bourdain. We loved the personal tour and definitely recommend their products to anyone looking for a tasty nip!

I've been stopping in here at least once a month for almost a year now. The spirits are smooth and the owners are friendly and knowledgeable. A must stop for those in the area.

I've been here twice now, with different friends visiting town. This distillery, with it's gracious hosts, warm but not over the top atmosphere, and spirited beverages, has become one of the must go places when I have guests.

We stopped in on a whim, we tasted all the spirits; gin, vodka, rye and whiskey. The owner, Carl, was very interesting. He told us all about the distilling of the spirits and also a few stories about the drinking of said spirits. I had a great chat with Carl and was happy to buy two bottles from him. Next time I will go back for the tour.

The place is new so their selection of spirits is very small, but what they do have is fantastic. I recommend the Viskill Vodka! The tour is pretty quick, but for $5 you can taste their vodka, rye, and whiskey... just wish they had perfected their gin when we went... apparently it had the power to blind people lol :)

I came to visit the distillery last weekend based on the good reviews online. I was pleasantly surprised to find they had a live blues band playing. Apparently they lave live music every second Saturday (a fun time in Beacon with lots of special activities at the art galleries). The music was great and the drinks were amazing.

The master distiller Karl gave us a personal tour and explained the complex process in a way that was super easy to understand. He was both educational and charming. We went through the entire process and he really brought it to life.

I'd highly recommend stopping in when you are in Beacon, the place is worth a special visit.

We left with two bottles. One bottle of their gin which my new favorite, and I'm not a big gin drinker. The other was the Maid of the Meadow, a local honey and wild herb infused vodka. As they recommended, I made a French 75 (the Maid with Champaign and a lemon twist) which is fantastic.

Thanks for making our weekend!

I've been visiting here monthly since they opened in September, and everyone is always inviting and friendly. The tastings can get busy pretty quick, so come early and enjoy!

I definitely recommend tasting the gin, it's certainly unique and delicious.

Enjoyed a tasting and tour of the distillery. The owner gave a very educational tour and explained the process in great detail. The spirits were wonderful, I especially liked complex flavors of the Gin.
