Always loved it. Went again this past weekend and still in love. Perfect size and has all amenities you could want. The parking lot is small, the walk over to beach is short/quick and the beach has the right amount of people with a nice crowd. Love, love, love

Another great long island south shore beach. Perfect white sand, nice surf and great times. Unfortunately like most Long Island beaches it is accessible only to town residents.

Can't always get in to this beach, unless I'm with family/friends that have a Babylon town permit, but I do love it here. So much nicer than the public beaches. Less crowded with more of a local feel.

We love Gilgo Beach!!!! I have always been a "cedar overlook beach girl". since I was a little girl, we used to frequent that beach every week several times a week. Now as a Mom of older children, my husband and I love to go to Gilgo because the walk is much shorter. Two years ago I had to be... More

If you live in Connecticut, NYC or lower NY and want to get one day of learning to surf or expand your learning this is a great place to start. The first step is to contact Bunger Surf Shop in Babylon, the home of the local legendary surfboard shaper Charles Bunger. His children now run the shop and are true... More

Always crowded and always fun. Boat docking is available and there's a small snack shack with burgers and drinks. There's usually some music playing on weekend afternoons. Just get there early to secure a parking spot.

Get the the Babylon town pass first. Then Enjoy this family oriented beach. One of my favorite beaches to go to on Long Island. Always a band playing at the little restaurant outdoors.

Gilgo Beach Inn is a local meeting place at the beach for locals and out of towners. Music on the deck on weekends brings friends together. Dock your boat and walk to the beach. Take a surf lesson. Enjoy a quick bite at their grill or enjoy a drink at the bar. Run by the same wonderful family for years... More

This great ocean beach is the perfect place for a summer day. The waves are great, so surfing is very popular here. This is a Town of Babylon beach, however so it's expensive to enter if you are not a town resident.
