We bought 2 bottles of local red vines Malbec and Petit Sira. At home open first bottle and taste- mixt vinegar with spoiled vine. It go to sink immidiatelly. Open second one- strange taste.
Reccomend to by wine is supermarket. 3 times cheaper and taste of real vine.
Place, where is this vinery is nice. Thats why i put 2 stars

The wines, the atmosphere, the staff at Black Mesa…all outstanding!! Craig, our wine stewart was so friendly and knowledgeable. He made us feel like locals even though it was our first visit. We enjoyed our visit so much and hope to return one day soon!

I've always love their red wines. The Pinot Noir is my absolute favorite. The Black Beauty chocolate dessert wine is a close second. Friendly staff, down to earth and knowledgeable. A bit out of the way unless you're driving from Santa Fe to Taos, then right on the road. The cats will greet you and make you smile.

This was the second winery we stopped at during our drive doing the Low Road from Taos to Santa Fe. They are open until 7 pm which suited us well since we had a late afternoon start.
You pick any 6 wines on the menu, which was quite exensive. Our host was very friendly and knowlegeable about wines. We espcially enjoyed the zinfadel, it was very smooth. We also tried the Barbera, which had such fruit forward nose with a spice finish. It is very different from all the Barbera we've ever had.
Since other people liked the Black Beauty sweet wine, we tried that last. It didn't go with what we had, so perhaps we didn't give it a chance.
The tasting room is super inviting and fun. With many merchandise to purchase. Some unique! Outdoor patio area is also beautiful. This is a great place to visit.

The tasting room is cool, and the stewards as well. They probably have the best wines in New Mexico, but the chocolate caliente rocks. Chocolate and chili in wine ... how bad can that be. It is a dessert wine, but not sweet ... and their Cab is greatness.

This one hit all the right notes. Delicious wines, great people to educate you on the deliciousness in your glass, and a lovely spot on the highway.

Stopped here on our way to Taos. Great place to stop. They have many good wins. But we choose the reds. We were not disappointed. Our server Scott his wines and Aldo a lot of the local area. They also can ship to many states.

Nate was a great pourer. I liked the whites a little better than the reds. Pinot Gris was my favorite. By the way do not use Mapquest to find the place, please use the winery's website for directions. It is more accurate. i got a chance to try some cab sauvignon grapes. Very tasty. : ) Would definitely go back again.

I believer her name was Murphy, such a delight to speak with. We had a great wine tasting and ended-up ordering a case of wine. The Black Beauty was so incredible to me, they have a very wide variety of prices and types....You will have fun!

I'm not big into wine tastings - but this winery made it so much fun. The atmosphere and the staff were amazing. It was like meeting up with old friends! I plan on going back next year to participate in the pick and stomp! It looked like a blast!

We will be traveling to Taos as a family. Are kids allowed in too?

Hi, thanks for reading the review. I'm so sorry I don't know about children attending, and did not see that addressed on the winery website.
