What an amazing find. Engaging staff and wonderful wines. Nice intimate setting and welcoming atmosphere. Better than Vivac further north. A nice drive north as well along the Rio Grand river up to Taos.

Planned a tour of the winery today, I have always loved their products. However they were closed, so advice...check the web site before driving over there. I'm sure they will continue to produce excellent wines and I will return and try it again!

A great little winery with a good selection of whites, reds, and blends - all made with 100% New Mexico grapes. We ended up buying the Zinfandel, Cab '14, and Antelope '12 - highly recommend all of them! The Coyote blend was very good as...More

I like to stop here any time I'm driving from Santa Fe to Taos or vice versa. The wine is great, service excellent, it's literally right off the highway and they have a variety of charming things they sell from chocolate sauce to vinaigrette that...More

We decided to stop by Black Mesa on our way to Taos; we got very good service; even though it was early and we were the only ones there, the person in charge offered us the tasting and since we were driving, we didn't feel...More

Stopped here on our way to Taos. Great place to stop. They have many good wins. But we choose the reds. We were not disappointed. Our server Scott his wines and Aldo a lot of the local area. They also can ship to many states.

We were on our way to another winery, but stopped at Casa Cristal next door & decided to just pull in and have a wine tasting at Black Mesa. So glad we stopped. The sommeliers are knowledgeable, friendly, excellent wine selection, and we met several...More

Nate was a great pourer. I liked the whites a little better than the reds. Pinot Gris was my favorite. By the way do not use Mapquest to find the place, please use the winery's website for directions. It is more accurate. i got a...More

I've always love their red wines. The Pinot Noir is my absolute favorite. The Black Beauty chocolate dessert wine is a close second. Friendly staff, down to earth and knowledgeable. A bit out of the way unless you're driving from Santa Fe to Taos, then...More

Hi, thanks for reading the review. I'm so sorry I don't know about children attending, and did not see that addressed on the winery website.
