Cage Diving with Great White sharks was an exciting, safe experience

We made a point of travelling to Gansbaai SA after seeing the operator of Shark Diving Unlimited, Mike Rutzen in an IMAX movie in Melbourne. It seems that Sharks don't keep a... read more

I would highly recommend Shark Diving Unlimited. It was a very professional operation , from the prompt pickup at our hotel to the actual dive itself. The operators were friendly and prompt in responding to our email inquiry. None of the other companies bothered to respond. Food was good and the Sharks did their part! I got great photos and... Would recommend to all 100% The staff were very friendly and helpful and couldn't do more to make your day more enjoyable and "relaxing". Very knowledgeable and happy to answer questions and have photos taken. Will be going back again one day in the future. If I could give more than 5* I would've

"Down! Down! Down!" Those are the words you wait to hear with excitement when on the tour. The crew alerts you and tells you when to "dive" - that's when you get to see the sharks up close as they (yes, a couple of them) swim pass the cage and sometimes towards the cage with gaping mouth. It was an... More

Transportation, Breakfast and lunch with refreshment are provided which is excellent, amazing journey through Cape Town for about 2 hours with beautiful scenery and nature. Perfect spot where you find the great whites, expert instructors (the best in this business) for safety and knows how to bring the sharks close to you. Sharks already started to come even before we... More

Staff is very friendly and instructions are clear. Everyone can do this! You don't need to have diving experience. Just step into the cage and follow the instructions. Experience to see white sharks that close is unique!

We wanted to experience this, but not feel like we are part of a tour group. Several locals recommended this company above all others and they were correct. Everything was fantastic.

Shark Diving Unlimited were great from start to finish. We were collected on time from our hotel in Cape Town, and were welcomed by a tasty breakfast in Gansbaai. Unfortunately the tide wasn't our friend and we were delayed by several hours, however we were kept entertained by the staff who showed us around the bay. When Mother Nature finally... More

My husband and I and our 8 year old went on a Great White diving trip yesterday and had a great great time. The trip was well organised but relaxed and easy going so no pressure, the boat was fast and so it didn't take ages to get out to where we would be to see the sharks. My husband... More

This was one of the best experiences I've ever had, not just in Cape Town! The pick up was super early but it meant we were out on the boat before 7am, it was a misty start and the ocean was very still which just heightened the senses so when we finally saw the dorsal fins cutting through the water... We made a point of travelling to Gansbaai SA after seeing the operator of Shark Diving Unlimited, Mike Rutzen in an IMAX movie in Melbourne. It seems that Sharks don't keep a schedule so after a tasty early breakfast provided as part of the deal we boarded the Shark viewing boat along with a mix of other travellers to go... More
