Nice place, where you can learn everything about the roibos-tea! Its also a shop with many gifts and roibos-products. You can also do a tea-tasting there. The staff is excellent!!

Lovely little tea house and gift shop in the centre of Clanwilliam. Very friendly staff who told us all about the rooibos tea production which is exclusively around this area. Had a lovely refreshing iced tea in the patio garden to round off a very pleasant afternoon. Well worth a visit and would definitely return.

We have a variety of requirements for our group - youngest 4months old and oldest 65 years old with 10 and 13 years old and a vegetarian amongst us. We all could do a d enjoy the rooibos tea tasting as well as food.

Tasting was 70 Zar pp if each taking 7 teas or R40pp if all of us would taste the same 7. We chose the last and fully enjoyed it. 7 each would have been too much.

Food was good, great sweet potatoes chips as a side and wraps were a delight. The boys enjoyed pizza. The food was under R100 per meal.

Went for tea tasting and lunch, did it with them many years ago and it was superb, and as both our kids love rooibos we promised them if we ever go to Clanwilliam we will take them for the experience.

Firstly we had to virtually beg to have it as we were told outright no but after a manager intervened the tasting proceeded, last time we were told stories and history this time round just given a sheet to read and decide what you want to taste, no explanation nothing.

Lunch I ordered Roosterkoek and boerewors huge dissapointment very average. My wife ordered pulled pork chiabata and she loved it, the rooibos milkshakes also very nice.

A memorable moment spending over a R1000 for tasting and lunch plus another R500 afterwards in the shop really left all of us very dissapointed.

Maybe we got to them when they were really not in the mood and maybe we should have taken the no first time round.

Hopefully whoever goes after us have better luck than us we will not be back.

This was included in our Jenman Tour and were probably not fussed after a long hot journey getting to Clanwilliam. We had never heard of Rooibos Tea. However, this was well worth doing, our whole group of 10 were pleasantly surprised at the experience. We were given a lovely Honey Melon Iced Tea on arrival which hit the spot in such hot weather. We were shown a video on the harvesting, drying and production of the Rooibos Tea which was very informative and enjoyable being Australian farmers. Then we had an interesting & informative tea tasting. Purchased a few products by choice as there was no pressure. We had no problems getting the Honey Melon Tea, loose Rooibos Tea in a box and soap back through Australian customs.

Really enjoyed the tea served in lovely cups and definitely learnt more about all the different kinds of Rooibos tea. Even left with a Buchu version to try. Unfortunately did not have anything to eat as we had just had lunch at another restaurant in town. Their menu carries a small offering of cakes and muffins. Just enough to have with your tea. Enjoyed sitting on the verandah of this lovely old house that has been converted into the tea house.

I bought every sache of rooibos ginger tea with chili in the shop, then tasted others over a scrumptious carrot cake muffin. I never knew there were so many ways to serve rooibos tea. Hubby loved his selection, as he prefers his tea caffeine-free, and rooibos is a natural. Shop owner was very helpful in aiding my search for rooibos with chili, even phoning other shops in the area. I think I now own the world's largest selection of rooibos tea with chili, plus other selections that I bought as gifts. Surprise yourself with the great variety in this shop. I recommend the carrot cake muffin.,

When we told our friends we were to visit the tea room they said " You better take your time, because you will be chilled". And we were!! Take the tea tasting offer and kick back and relax... It is a trip you need to take...smell the tea...taste the delicate flavours.

PS. I was there in Jan 2017 and they redesigned the garden - complements to the management
