This was a great stop on a very hot day. The heat made enjoying the outside areas a little more challenging, but displays of labelled local plants, and a variety of transportation items are also housed outside. For my daughter, who is an American in the US for the first time, seeing the Conestoga wagons was really special. There is... More

I stopped by the museum and was immediately greeted in such a friendly way. The museum is amazing and has cowboy, railroad, farming, ranxhing and plenty more of the local history. I loved it all.

There was just so much to see they need too at least double the display space but as ever money is the issue. Well worth a visit.

This was a nice little museum, but totally without charm. Most of the items on display were un-marked. The chain link fence around the fire truck, and the fences in front of so much of the items totally took away from them; and there was so much dirt on most of the items. Recently been to the similar Elk City... More

Lots of items to see here, I have been twice and i know i could go 100 more time and see things I overlooked. Not expensive. Do advise to see this if you like museums, hey why shouldn't you.

No gimmicks and packed with objects and photos, infinitely browse-able. There was also a little corner with an impressive selection of books and notes. Very helpful lady in attendance who photocopied something for us. In process of redoing one section. Outside a shed of carts, etc, was the highlight.

An inexpensive wonderful display of local history in the Tucumcari area. Several rooms of clothing, photos, artwork and implements from early settlers of the area. Don't miss the firetruck, plane and caboose outside

It was interesting to see the history not much to it. The curator Wes interested in selling the vehicle. Which were in impeccable condition and all original.

From the outside this looks like a pretty interesting place to visit. I got there about 10 minutes before closing, and said I was just going to walk around the grounds and take some photos. However, whoever was in charge adamantly told me I could not do that, she needed to leave right now! Don't know why they have hours... More
