Has been wanting to take the kids here for a while. It’s nice and the staff friendly. I was expecting something and they had nice stuff. It’s worth a visit. But most of what I saw was replicas. Some one needs to donate some bones...More

Have been thru Tucumcari numerous times but never visited the museum. Not large but extremely interesting with lots of hands on exhibits. A great kids area. Interesting for adults too.

Great displays, including bronze created by students. You have to play with the sand in the kids area, it is amazing.

... and well worth the stop. The quality and breadth of exhibits was impressive. The museum is adjacent to a working lab where visitors can watch ongoing work on paleontological samples.

Located at a community college, education is the focus at this small but very informative museum. All museums have replicas, but I was surprised at the number of real fossils found here, with an emphasis on ones found locally. The bronze casts, especially of the...More

I am so glad I visited this museum. The cast bronze and resin displays of the dinosaurs were amazing. Exhibits included prehistoric timelines, rocks and minerals, fossils, dinosaur eggs, many footprints, a lot of hands-on displays for kids and a large viewing window of people...More

Don’t let the shabby exterior of this building dissuade you from going in. The inside is definitely several steps above. Now don’t get me wrong, the quantity or size of artifacts doesn’t rival natural history museums in major cities, but if you’re driving along I-40...More
