OMG! Every town should have a museum like this. It is a small facility loaded with pictures and stories of service by local residents. There are uniform, equipment, medals, a huge button collection, and mannequins depicting service in almost every war. Outside, there is a large park with placards commemorating all military actions over the years.

I would sit here at the Veterans' Memorial Park in the mornings, when I was "living at the Walmart", do do some writing and such, and to just relax. The museum has been closed since the "lockdown", but the walking path is open. I usually had the place to myself; the picnic table in the shade, near the museum, made for a perfect workplace. Well-kept, clean, solemn.

A hidden treasure, easy to find in T or C, well worth stopping by, great grounds and excellent collection that represents all branches of the Armed services. Opportunity to get informed on how our service members sacrifice to keep us and the World safe.
Open even during pandemic with safety requirements. If visiting, please comply.
Thank you to all that have donated articles to make it an awesome museum.
So glad to have visited. Will definitely return if in the area.

We went on a cold and blustery day, so honestly couldn't enjoy much of the memorial outside. The inside though, was pretty interesting. Lots of displays from local residents who served during certain wars, their memorabilia, etc. It just happened that when we went though, there was only one vet working there to greet us, and he was quite gruff/unfriendly, which didn't make the place seem too welcoming. However as we were on our way out, two other personnel came in to work who seemed a lot more warm and friendly.

This wonderful park near the outskirts of T or C has a beautiful replica of the Vietnam Veterans Wall (from Washington, DC) that everyone should come and see. The adjacent museum is well worth a visit as well. For a fairly small and out of the way place, it has a lot to offer.

There are trees and playgrounds and ae smaller playground.

They play with sports like baseball and more sports.

There is a lot of parking.

They love skateboarding.

As for the sports, parents and anyone can sit and see who is wining.

A must see!

Not exactly what you think you'd find in this little town of Truth or Consequences, NM. It is on a huge piece of property as you drive into town. The outside park setting is unique and something to see. The monuments of all wars that have occurred are easy to read. The museum is also done very well. Worthwhile to see while you are here. Museum closed on Monday, park always open.

We found this lovely park by chance while driving around the town. It has a trail and tablets describing each of the 16 wars in our history. Very moving and peaceful. There are flags in the center and some monuments, as well as a museum that we did not get to. It is worth visiting if you are in the area.

The replica of the Vietnam Memorial Wall was very moving. Interesting to read all the memorial bricks that lined the walkway.
sundial-like sculpture with metal silhouette cutouts of male and female soldiers from different wars.

I glad we went to the Veterans Memorial Park. This place is well put together. I encourage all generations to come and experience the attractions within the park. I enjoyed the replica of the Vietnam Veterans memorial wall. There is a lots of history form world war I to the Afghanistan and Iraq war. This museum and its contents are a living memorial and history of our country and the dedication of those who served.
