My wife and I knew nothing about rock climbing but on a recent trip to Taos we decided to look into it. Going on a reference from someone in the area we were hooked up with Donna first to make a reservation and then Jay to climb. Great experience and we really enjoyed meeting Jay as well. Highly recommend this... More

Our guide Tracy was excellent-this was my first return to rock climbing in 30 years--she promptly sized up our abilities, and facilitated a wonderful morning of climbing that was exciting, safe, and spectacularly beautiful to be out on the rock. She was sensitive, knowledgeable, and then helped us to plan the rest of our trip hiking, loaning us backpacks and... More

We came from out of state and Donna was so great at communicating with us via email and phone to help us figure out our itinerary.. They even have 2 cabin rentals, and we ended up staying at one of them. It was clean, quaint, and comfortable with easy/quick access to Taos. Before arriving, I was desperately needing some supplements... More

We were in Taos for 1 week with our small children. We signed up our oldest who was 9 at the time and he had a blast. Our 4 year old decided to try the next day. The staff was great. In addition I saw parts of Taos that I have never seen in the 30 years of visiting there.... More

Being a complete novice at rock climbing and rapelling, I was excited but cautious. I could not have been in better hands. Erin was wonderful. She was very informative and supportive during the entire process. We had young and old, rookie and experts in our group and she managed all of us with professionalism, kindness, and respect. I will definitely... More

Excellent family fun!!! In late July, our family stayed in Red River NM, then drove down the hill for a combo rock-climb / river raft adventure. Erin was our guide and was fantastic! She contacted us the day prior to ensure we were still as scheduled, and provided directions for the AM tour rendezvous. She met us bright and early,... More

We did a day of climbing with Mountain Skills, with Erin as our guide. As beginning climbers with an 11 and 15 yr old (and a 40-something over-the-hill Dad), we had a great time, learning the basics while getting on the rock right away. The climbing was challenging without being scary and each of us got to go at our... More

My tween daughter and I had the pleasure of spending a morning climbing with Erin. She is competent and careful. She obviously loves climbing and teaching others to do the same. I am not nearly as skilled or as experienced at climbing as my daughter, but Erin - and my daughter - encouraged me to try different challenges. It was... More

My daughter and I had two sessions a week for a month. We had an amazing exhilarating experience where we learnt the basics of rock climbing from fun and highly professional instructors ( we were lucky to experience Jay Erin and Dan) who imbued us with knowledge and confidence. A must for anyone who likes to be immersed in the beautiful... More

I wasn't sure what to expect when I booked this day of rock climbing. I thought it would be a chance to be outside in a beautiful place and entertainment for me, my husband and especially my 2 teenage boys, ages 16 and 17. Well, this day of rock climbing turned out to be the highlight of our trip. Erin... More
