A good self-guided walking tour of the different telescopes of the observatory, however, they cannot be seen from inside. However, its worth while for the scenic views of the White Sands and Alamogordo below.

The drive from Cloudcroft to Sunspot is magnificent...and if you enjoy astronomy, the visitor center is a great final touch. Make sure to stop at the first vista pullout on the way for the views of the valley below.
