Stopped by on our way back to Albuquerque from T or C. Easy to find from I-25 and a nice break from driving. Lovely church, great history and quaint gift shop (some of the religious articles are donations from parishioners, so a rosary I purchased...More

Socorro offers limited interest, outside the Very Large Array (60 miles away) and Bosque del Apache (15 miles away). This church - in pristine condition - is a nice exception.

We spent a pleasant 25 minutes exploring the small gift shop and museum, the grounds, and the church. Since this is an active parish, there isn't a lot of historical information in the church itself and the items in the gift shop are mostly Catholic...More

Well restored, and apparently well-utilized mission. Definitely the high-point of architecture in Socorro. Grab some lunch in town and take the short walk to visit the mission.

We stopped here and it's a must see absolutely beautiful and very powerful, you are allowed in and can take pictures. So please if you are in the area you have to stop by you won't regret it, it's unforgettable, just be respectable

This place is 402 years old and lovely. Beautiful grounds with a memorial garden out in front. I'm glad I stopped by to see it. It's surrounded by mountains and a great spot to walk to/by.

We drove by and they were having a (cool) Spanish-speaking mass. Took a few pics of the outside of the church and was impressed with how great condition it is in after hundreds of years.
