This is a quiet lake just a few miles outside of town. We wanted to find a nice spot to have a picnic lunch and were pleasantly surprised to find this beautiful lake. There was some sort of motorcycle rally the day we visited so it wasn't as quiet as it could have been, but we enjoyed it. Views are... More

We stayed here on the way to and from Colorado and Texas. It is easy to get to from the highways. There were lots of campings spots and reservations were easy online. The prices are great. Nice bathrooms and a playground in the electric loops. Not the best tent area but it worked and there were ants but we didn't... More

A hidden gem in New Mexico. This place is great fro a hike during a stop over in town, The hill side view is fabulous and the lake is calm and quiet.

Again life jackets for small kids, and kids have to be able to swim without floatation device to be able to do the obstacle coarse but it is a fun relaxing day!

We stopped here for a night on our way to Albuquerque. The campground was very pleasant with picnic tables and level tent pads. Although we were not traveling in an RV, we did notice some nice pull throughs and there were a lot of people camped. Restrooms were decent with showers. The view of the stars was incredible.

We stayed in Rocky Pointe A10 in a tent. So many ants...they don't bite/sting but they're everywhere. Never saw anyone official so I was a little worried on a mom/kid trip. Showers and restrooms were filthy and very busy - it seemed that everyone came to that particular bathroom from 5-7pm. It was quiet and we stayed for just one... More

Wanting to be outdoors, we took suggestions from the owner of La Mesa Motel- our favorite place to stay in Santa Rosa. One of the suggestions was Santa Rosa Lake State Park. After a killer lunch at Joseph's and a short drive later, we arrived at the park. We saw a lot of paid camping and hiked some of the... More

Tent camped 1 night, clean bathrooms with flush toilets. Was told there were showers in a different campground that we could have used. Our tent site was close to the lake with pretty views, sheltered picnic tables

From my home state of OK, Santa Rosa is an easy day's drive toward points further west. The park is far enough from the Interstate to miss the noise, but close enough to town to make a run for groceries or a meal out convenient. NM state parks are an uneven lot, but this one has the fortunate combination of... More

Stayed here one night. Loved the sites. They are up well above the lake with pretty views. Clean camp ground. Very nice site host, Carl. The lake is very pretty, lots to see and do. I'd camp here again.
