We enjoy coming to Ruidoso Downs yearly; however, for whatever reason, when you converse by phone the women do not understand that we want to sit in the Turf Club. Three years in a row ( skipping last year) when my husband has made reservations...More

The races are held Memorial Day through Labor Day. You can sit in the stands for free (and bring the kids) or reserve a covered seat/table. There is "game style" food, drinks, adult beverages, and sometimes there are local vendors selling their wares. The best...More

Had a great time at the American trials. We were able to get into the Turf Club which had the best views of the finish line. The wait staff there were very attentive and the food was really good. Great chicken nachos and bar drinks!...More

Ruidoso Downs is a unique track that runs thoroughbreds but is built off the best quarter horses in the world. The weather is great and the facilities are workable. With the new ownership I look forward to some great thing to come in the future.

Beautiful setting, we loved the races. A nice small casino is attached and we enjoyed a live concert in the evening!

This track is large enough to see some good horse races, but small enough to get up close and really see the action. They keep the races going quickly, very little lag time, and betting is nearby and easy. Cold beer, great cocktails, good munchies....More
