This is our FAVORITE place to go! We love watching the horses run. We normally arrive about an hour early so we can look over the race schedule and eat lunch. We enjoy sitting up stairs in one of the clubs. Both are enjoyable and we love having the covered shade, a waiter/waitress and having the betting Windows pretty close.... More

We have Santa Anita and Del Mar within easy driving distance and go often. I have been to several others but Ruidoso Downs is truly one of the worst. Free parking with shuttle to entrance. Free general admission with bench seats next to track, all in the sun. Counter seats are $15 for simply a counter surface and a chair... More

Friends took us to the Jockey Club at Riodoso downs to see the quarter horses. It was a fun day, you can see the track well, and we had a nice lunch. A specialty is deep fried chicken livers (if you are into that!) and I had an adequate shrimp salad.

Ruidoso Downs is always fun. July 4th weekend was no exception. With live racing and beautiful weather, we enjoyed our day at the races.

First time here and was impressed. Very nice track with great services. Watched from turf club. Very good food and great service. Great views from this level. Took about 20 minutes between races. Get here early, parking lot gets full quick.

This is a fantasy place that you can enjoy horse races and you can enjoy the best food in town, Perfect for all ages and all kind of weather. If it is sunshine it is perfect but if it's cloudy it rainy day does not matter because you can enjoy it inside the building. We have an Awesome time.

I enjoyed my first horse race. I was a little disappointed at the lapse of time between races, but I guess that is the way races are set up. If you wanted shade you had to pay for those seats. Can't wear shorts in the Jockey Club.
