A Must See

Incredible collection of memorabilia and other western artifacts. This museum is now part of the Smithsonian. The 101 Ranch exhibit was terrific as well as the Textile exhibit.

I love museums. Taking a walk back in history is so interesting to me. The day we went we had a personal tour from a volunteer that was there that day. He told us things about each exhibit that we would not of known otherwise. Everyone was friendly and helpful.

The various types of wagons, from the Chihuahua Wagon to the Covered Wagon were well displayed. The exhibit on the 101 Ranch was informative. Well worth stopping for.

This is a small museum that is very informative, nicely arranged and has plenty of room. There were special exhibits for children to interact with.

It was too windy to hike in Lincoln National Forest so we went over to the renamed Hubbard Museum. What a pleasant surprise. The wagons and buggies were fascinating to see. Nice display and assortment of Native living artifacts, guns, and horse items We enjoyed the well done, 2 floor museum

Very impressed with the range of items in this two level museum. Offers military discount. Right off the main road, and next to the Billy the Kid visitor center.

Plan to spend plenty of time here to go through the displays. Park on the lower level if you have trouble with stairs.
