We have been there several times. You have to go just to see the architecture of the building. Just to see the sunset . The performances have been great no matter what the genre. The acoustics are number one and it is and intimate setting. The food is optional, but excellent. And they make a good drink. We just saw... More

If one has a chance to go to a performance at this spectacular Theatre, GO!! We have been there 4 times as we travel to Ruidoso every Labor Day for some golf in the mountains. Houston is just too hot!! We saw a Beatles tribute band there and the acoustics are as good as any theatre in the U.S. The... More

This is a great theater in the middle of nowhere. Saw a fun concert on our last night in Ruidoso. Would highly recommend for a night out.

Went on the behind-the-scenes tour they give at 10a.m. on Tuesday and Thursday. Not only do you get to see the Dale Chihuly glass installations, you get to stand on the stage, see the 22-ft. tall stage doors, dressing rooms, and the artists' hall with signatures/artwork by past performers. Free, but donations are gladly accepted.

This is an amazing venue out in the middle of nowhere. Beautiful facility that seats a little over 500 patrons. We were attending a performance by Esteban, the classical guitarist. The performance was sold out. We were seated in the very last row of the balcony and still feel we had great seats. A great price for the performance. No... More

Designed by renowned architect Antoine Predock and decorated with four major glass installations by artist Dale Chihuly. The Spencer theater was named one of seven outstanding theaters in the world by the United States Institute for Theater. The five hundred seating is really good, no bad seat in the house. I have been there many times and love the variety... More

This theater is a work of art, plus beautiful art works throughout the whole theater I have been to plays, musicals, etc. here. There is not a bad seat in the whole place. The performances are 5 star also. There are tours open to the public every Tues. and Thurs. at 10AM. Everyone we have taken there has enjoyed them... More

The tour of the theatre and backstage was most interesting and worth the time. We attended the concert performed by the Ft.Bliss Army Band and it was outstanding!

Spencer Theater is literally a Diamond in the Rough. The theater, located a short distance from Ruidoso NM, offers one of the few venues in the area for a variety of quality entertainment. The year round program strives and suceeds in its' effort to provide high grade entertainment for all.The group that sponsors the theater gives locals and visitors a chance... More
