Intresting but small

Nothing like I expected. It was a very small Museum on the second floor of a military school. It wasn't every informative but it did have a lot to look at in a small space

The General Douglas L. McBride Military Museum is a hidden gem in the New Mexico Military Institute. Lots of interesting photos and artifacts about NMMI and the many hero's who attended here.

Probably touting this as a full museum is a little pretentious but if you are a military buff, still worth going. Just know it is not expansive.

The McBride museum has tons of history about the New Mexico Military Institute. Exhibits presented accurately as it was. It's interesting to know that the museum used to house the first indoor swimming pool west of the Mississippi.

Good time trip to see what the environment was like. Awesome place, great people. I like the architecture and excellent education for young people. Keep it going.

The collection consists of items that have been donated. Quite a good collection of firearms and military history. Unfortunately, there is insufficient room to display the collection. There are displays in several different buildings on the NMMI campus.

It's a stretch to call it a museum, just one floor about some history of NMMI. Campus buildings are pretty though, restroom is clean, and everyone is really friendly. If you want to see a military institute and all the cadets walking around, or a bathroom break, go for it. Otherwise skip it.
