The museum was donations only. I was surprised by how big the place was and how much art work there was. They have many famous artists displayed. I loved the art work by Henrietta Wyeth (daughter of Andrew Wyeth).

Thank you for stopping in! We're lucky to have expanded out of the Founder's Gallery (the original part of the building, which opened in 1937) into the 50,000 square feet we have today. More

We arrived in Roswell a little earlier than we expected (after driving from Houston TX) and decided to check this museum out in the 30-40 minutes that were left before it closed for the evening. What a nice find - the big surprise being the section devoted to rocket pioneer John Goddard. As far as the rest of the museum... More

Well curated collections of quite nice paintings and sculpture, including a very good gallery of southwest art. There is also a section devoted to the (scientific) work of rocket scientist Robert Goddard, including a great collection of his early rockets. We were impressed with the work on display from students in classes that the museum conducts. Altogether a very agreeable... More

Thank you Rick, for pointing out that about our entrance. GPS like to lead visitors to the back. Eventually we hope to get our official address changed to lead them to the parking lot. I know Sara, our Curator of Collections, will appreciate your comments about the exhibitions. More

The museum is quite large with lots of stuff to look at. Probably 50% of it is artwork mostly abstract stuff. I am not a huge art fan, but some of the pieces were cool. The artwork was completely lost on the kids though. They didn't care. Probably 20% of the museum is a John Goddard rocketry pioneer section. It... More

Enjoyed some time here one morning while waiting for the weather to warm up for outdoor activity. Found the combination of local artists and local history very intriguing. Great displays of artifacts of the west from the conquistadors on through native Americans and western culture. You can see everything in 1-2 hours or spend more time examining the many detailed... Yes, the Aston Collection is certainly one that invites a longer visit: there is so much to see! We wish that visitors would use us as a refuge from the cold more often—but then again, it's rarely anything but sunny in Roswell. Thank you for your review. More

I am not big on art but decided to stop here because of the Goddard exhibit. To my surprise, I really enjoyed all aspects of this fine complex. It does Roswell proud.
