Founded in 1937, the Roswell Museum and Art Center is home to an extensive collection of southwestern art, the equipment and workshop of pioneering rocketeer Robert H. Goddard, and the Rogers Aston Collection of the American West, which encompasses historical southwestern artifacts spanning from the sixteenth through the twentieth centuries.

This museum has an amazing exhibit on Mr. Goddards rockets. He was one of the pioneers in the Rocket era. There are many exhibits but the Rocket one was for us the most interesting. Worth a stop for an hour or so. Good place to...More

Worth the donation and time for Goddard history. Excellent Indian and Mexican history. Nice reference charts for items displayed.

Had a lot of history on the city. Was not so much interested in the Art Center, but the Museum was a great experience.

A lot of local inspired art is here and there is some neat history to check out as well. This is a nice part of town with plenty to see. If you have time for a second museum spot, check it out.

We visited a couple of centers during our visit to Roswell. This center had a planetarium and many articles of art related to the area and the space travel era. The center is free but donation are accepted.
