Again i love that the scholarshiped artists from the contemporary art program get to do a showing of their art here. Great community support. The history of New Mexico is rich and the museum does a great job of telling that story. We are traveling arounfd the USA this year and have found New Mexico to be one of our... More

The displays seemed to be a hodge-podge of random artifacts. There was some interesting artwork, but it is not a destination that I need to ever see again.

This museum has a lot of artifacts, not a lot to read. It has a lot of art and then it has a lot about the history of space travel, the man that started the Rockets here in Roswell and the different patents he had that was very interesting.

This Museum contains art and history of the American Southwest. Some items are from Conquistador times. An exhibit detailing the accomplishments of Robert H. Goddard's experiments with early rocketry is a must see. The Museum Store has an excellent assortment of various items. Allow at least 3-4 hours.

This museum has some very unique exhibits. Robert Goddard's workshop in impressive. Goddard seldom get the recognition that he deserves for the development of space flight. The is a cowboy western section, a conquistador display and some fine art as well. This is a must see attraction if you visit Roswell. Well worth the time.

Spent a couple of days exploring the alien hysteria a bit disappointed but then was told by a local gentleman to check it out before I left town. All I can say is he was right this the best place in town. A little bit of everything. Worth the trip and it's free just be sure to leave a donation... More

This museum had a little bit of everything while we were there. First, there is an exhibit on Robert Goddard, the father of American rocketry. It was interesting and informative. There were also exhibits on early New Mexico history from the native peoples up through the cowboy era. Additionally there were several art exhibits which included paintings and mixed media... More

We came to look for aliens and were disappointed by the cheap tourist stuff. But this museum, which isn't about aliens, was a pleasant surprise. They have a great plains Indian display as well as a fascinating section on Robert Goddard, the father of modern rocketry. His work was in Roswell. Admission is free but I gladly gave a donation.
