The museum is small, but priced accordingly. It is nice to learn the history of Roswell and the stories behind the alleged UFO sighting. There is not much actual content in the museum, so some
Is the exhibits discuss TV shows, and other sightings. I liked the Mayan exhibit.
If you are traveling though, and want to do one thing in Roswell, do this one! It is the only exhibit that opens at 9, is inexpensive, takes 30-40 min, and gives you all the information you need.

It’s a small, hometown museum but it’s still really fun and neat. Only $5 to get in and there’s a ton of information on everything if you’ve got the time and patience to read it. My husband and I really just came to look around and see the models/miniatures etc. I’d say we were there for 30-45 minutes, but you could easily spend hours there reading all of the material.

Very cool place, there is a lot of information about UFO/aliens, there are also some cool effects inside from time to time. As you first enter the door they have a machine that takes your temperature, you just have to put your head close to it. The lady at the ticket counter was funny and so welcoming. They also have a gift shop by the entrance, restrooms are inside the museum all the way to the back. The price was $5 per person I believe , very reasonable especially when you have a big family visiting.

I had wanted to visit Roswell and this museum for many years. To say I’m underwhelmed is an understatement. The pictures I’ve seen online make it look huge with loads of displays. In reality the museum is tiny, only one room with a few plastic aliens, posters and plaques. There are a few mildly interesting props from films and a books worth of writing on plaques but that’s it. We were out in well under 20 mins. The £5 entry price is a total ripoff.
The gift shop sells overpriced tat that you can get cheaper at the grocery store down the road. I’m all for kitschy places but this is just a true tourist trap, overpriced, overrated and disappointing. Save your money and walk round Roswell, going into the different stores for free.

This museum consists of about 10 exhibits, all of which are made up of lots of placards to read. I was ready to leave after 5 minutes, but decided to stretch it out to about 25 minutes so that I didn't feel like I completely wasted my $7. Skip this one and watch Ancient Aliens on the History Channel instead. This is a straight-up tourist trap.

This place is a wealth of information that provides a timeline on the local event, the military presence in the area and its impact on the world, and on other UFO related events, but as has been stated, it is mostly exhibits to be read, one after the other, after the other. In some spots, the number of people trying to read at the same time makes it difficult to even do that. There are a few staged/prop exhibits for atmosphere, and a room set up like a ship console with a short video, and that likely saves it from being a complete bore for children.
The staff was all friendly, the fee is reasonable, and worth it for the bits and pieces we were able to stop and read while there.

It’s okay, but kinda cheesy and not exactly what I expected. The reviews for this place were a bit overrated in my opinion, but I did get some cool souvenirs.
I guess it’s one of those things you may as well stop in and see while you’re in Roswell. On the upside, if you’re traveling with small kiddos and you’re short on time they would enjoy the museum without getting bored too quick and parents would enjoy the $5 price for each admission.

We were a little disappointed in this stop. First, it was very crowded so that you couldn't really see the exhibits without bobbing and weaving to get a view. But I think the bigger problem with it is that they are trying to prove something without any evidence. (Yes, I know it is aliens and there is a coverup, but I'm not sure you can be a museum without memorabilia.) There are lots of movie posters and props from Hollywood alien shows, but that doesn't prove aliens/UFOs.
I'm not sure I'd return here. There are other ways to get the alien experience in Roswell.

This museum presented many interesting documents of the crash incident, lots of articles and videos of people who claim they believe it all, as well as historical information dating back even to the Mayan era which had a supposed astronaut carved in a structure. You're left to decide what you believe in this fun and interesting hour or so. I believe! (My husband doesn't.)
Afterwards we visited the gift shop for some souvenirs to take home. I enjoyed visiting this museum and thought it was worth the time and cost.

Okay yes, you've read the reviews, and they are all over the place but what I'm going to tell you is the truth here. Yes, it's quirky, it's a UFO MUSEUM !!! Yes It's corny, some of the displays look they are from the '50s. But let me tell you for a mere five dollars, you can learn everything there is to learn about the famous Roswell incident. Yes, there are displays and images from all over the museum even some local native lore... like the Aztec Wood Carving of Famous Ancient Astronauts made famous in Chariots of the God's...hmm. How about the research center itself with literally tens of thousands of documents on the famous crash with all kinds of investigation reports and findings on the subject. You could spend days alone going through the material. Did I mention the gift shop?? It's huge and you just can't leave without getting a keychain a t-shirt or a poster. The Museum itself is fun with all kinds of funny and macabre displays and images. It's well worth the time and don't forget to take many selfies while you're there or you will regret it. Whether you're in Roswell for the first time or the tenth time, this is one of those can't miss places that every tourist should see.

We were there about 3 hours and quite honestly, I would have preferred staying a little longer (but kids got hungry). We could have come back the same day but got busy with other things and just didn't make it back. To answer your question more succinctly, I would give it at least 3-4 hours in order to really read everything.

The town in general seemed pretty "pet friendly". So much so that we actually asked a waitress about it. She said that they generally are to observe same protocols as everywhere else.
