- johnNY7102123 contributionsThis Place Is CoolThoroughly enjoyed visiting here, best UFO attraction in Roswell. Even if you don't believe in Aliens you will find it interesting. Not only do they show about reports of Aliens coming to Earth they also talk about our space program. An attraction for all ages.Visited October 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten October 4, 2023
- M60NJPMilton Keynes, United Kingdom27 contributionsWell worth a visitAlthough a little 'touristy' the centre is full of interesting and thought-provoking artefacts and narrative - definitely worth a vist and good value for money. Easy to find, access and park & staffed by friendly folk. There's a couple of 'holes' in the Roswell alien story which left me 'sitting on the fence' in terms of believing it, but judge for yourself! I did spot an error where Ipswich (UK) was stated as being in North-East England...........it isn't!Visited September 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten October 6, 2023
- Christina BLouisiana6,965 contributionsEnjoyed Learning So MuchAlthough we are aware of a lot of this, the In-depth articles, photos & video were really well done. We are readers and usually not in a hurry so we read ALOT!! The stories were intriguing. The artifacts or replicas were good as well. The touristy aliens are good for the kids. When I looked back at my photos for time stamps, we were surprised we had been there 2 1/2 hours. We found it a great find in Roswell to see !!Visited October 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten October 10, 2023
- Melvin ADenver, Colorado31 contributionsUFO Museum. Don't get abducted lolUFO Museum how exciting this place is. The Museum staff was very friendly and knowledgeable. The Museum was very interesting and informative. We liked all the exhibits, pictures and theories of the Extraterrestrial phenomenon. They had things from the crash that occurred here in the 1940's. My wife and I enjoyed it immensely. I highly recommend it,if you come through Roswell and don't stop in it your missing out.Visited October 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten October 12, 2023
- Sarah PPoole, United Kingdom36 contributionsA museum featuring the serious and humorous side of UFO sightings. Well worth the visit! This museum was so much fun! Starting with the check-in where you could register yourself on a digital global map of ‘believers’ and have a photo with some recent alien visitors. The museum provides eye witness accounts, recordings and items from the first UFO sighting over Roswell, which creates a comprehensive picture of what was seen and how it was covered up. The museum covers other UFO sightings over the years, as well as why more sightings are able to be recorded by pilots now. Altogether a thoroughly enjoyable value-for-money recommended visit.Visited September 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten October 13, 2023
- carlman0136 contributionsMust visit in RoswellIt’s hard not to get wrapped up in UFO mania from the moment you drive into town. But the detail and organization of UFO museum is worth a visit. I heard it was recently remodeled. Be prepared to read a lot of detail from so many involved. Also other stories of abductions , crop circles , all the interesting stuff. Good valueVisited October 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten October 17, 2023
- The Nanny31 contributionsInteresting museumA lot of interesting information. It was a LOT of reading. They also had push button things that gave you info but sometimes hard to hear if another one nearby was also on. Go early to avoid crowd and be able to park. We were there about 1 1/2 hrs.Visited October 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten October 19, 2023
- Ronald A102 contributionsThe authentic Roswell alien experience. The Roswell Alien Museum and Research Center is fantastic. The exhibits are well developed to tell a compelling account of alien sightings and abductions. I was initially skeptical that it might be just another cheesy tourist trap, but my skepticism disappeared as I moved from one exhibit to the next. In addition to photos and documents the museum offers numerous video presentations covering the full topic. There are several interactive exhibits that were entertaining and educational. Our 10 and 14 year old were interested in the materials. The admission is very reasonable for the experience the museum presents. A must do for anyone looking for the authentic Roswell alien experience.Visited October 2023Traveled with familyWritten October 24, 2023
- RV Manifest Destiny163 contributionsJust do it!!We stopped in roswell on our way from White Sands. The museum was really more than I was expecting. The stories, the pictures, the information was all engrossing. They do allow pets, and give a senior discount, so definitely worth the trip. Dont forget to visit the gift shop - we ended up spending more than I would thought , but its a once in a lifetime visit. We got there shortly after it opened and it was already a little busy. There is a small parking lot next to the building and lots of parking on the street. They do give a senior discount. Dont forget to visit all of the little shops near the museum.Visited October 2023Written October 28, 2023
- Jeannette BPittsboro, North Carolina32 contributionsWhen in Rome.........The museum was exactly as expected which is a bit hokey but "when in Rome..." you have to go and see it at least once. It was a giggle fest for us and we enjoyed it. Just know most of it is reading extensive graphics and listening to a lot of video interviews. The alien displays were hilarious. The interactive experience in the end was fun. We were glad to make the visit and we had great fun posting about it.Visited November 2023Traveled as a coupleWritten November 8, 2023

Not the most interesting museum but for $3 (senior price) – you are now in Roswell, so you have to see the very little bit there is to see here, right?
The museum is perhaps more to see people’s reactions to the museum than the museum itself. Nothing you’ll read here can’t be found on-line.
However, I loved watching the dismay of people when seeing the fake aliens, the fake UFO, and some of the very grainy pictures and bad videos. No one seems to take time to read all the information boards about all the supposed people who have supposedly seen all sorts of things and have supposedly been threatened with their life of the lives of their family members if they say anything. Same story repeats itself on the various information boards throughout the whole museum. Yawn…
A lot to read and very little interactivity. A few videos but some don’t seem to work, or the sound is really bad. A bit has been translated in Spanish.
Only thing I really learned here is the difference between close encounter of the first kind, close encounter of the second kind and close encounter of the third kind and the amazing number of movies and TV series that have been influenced by these supposed UFO sightings.
Dated, dusty, darkish, stuck in the 70s, not much upkeep going on… Kind of goes with the theme in some strange ways.
The whole downtown has this ghost-town type feel to it. Many places close early or don’t open at all. I don’t know how any of them survive.

This museum was under construction during our visit and a few of the displays were unavailable. There was a small cost to enter but I wish we would had been aware of the construction because we would have skipped it. Lots of news articles and pictures of the Roswell crash. Pictures and articles of various UFO sightings from all over as well. I would think you could easily spend two or more hours just reading all the display articles. There is also a research room, restrooms and good size gift shop with lots to choose from. We were a little disappointed that most of the gifts were alien related and we wanted UFO spaceship things.

I was going through Roswell and told myself I had to check it out! And I'm glad I did. It was full of interesting information. You could easily spend hours reading the detailed information and watching videos. I didn't have the time to do so but the gift shop had a book that included much of the information that was on display in the museum. (I purchased the abridged version as it was $15.00 cheaper) I haven't had a chance to read it yet, but looking forward to it. Believer or not, if your near Roswell it’s worth the $5 admission!

It’s okay, but kinda cheesy and not exactly what I expected. The reviews for this place were a bit overrated in my opinion, but I did get some cool souvenirs.
I guess it’s one of those things you may as well stop in and see while you’re in Roswell. On the upside, if you’re traveling with small kiddos and you’re short on time they would enjoy the museum without getting bored too quick and parents would enjoy the $5 price for each admission.

Actually there’s not much to do in Roswell but to visit the UFO Museum, Visitors Center, Roswell Museum and Art Center, and unimpressive souvenir shops.
This museum is fun for the whole family with quirky displays of everything pertaining to UFOs and aliens.
The research library has thousands of books to help you with your thesis.
The gift shop has tons of nice items but more on the $$$ side.

I drove 8 hours solo to visit this museum and it was well worth the trip. The displays are very interesting, informing and visually captivating. The price of admission is unbelievably low cost and the staff are warm and engaging. The souvenir store is great also!

The museum is small, but priced accordingly. It is nice to learn the history of Roswell and the stories behind the alleged UFO sighting. There is not much actual content in the museum, so some
Is the exhibits discuss TV shows, and other sightings. I liked the Mayan exhibit.
If you are traveling though, and want to do one thing in Roswell, do this one! It is the only exhibit that opens at 9, is inexpensive, takes 30-40 min, and gives you all the information you need.

It is pretty small. Does have lots of stuff to read about possible alien sightings, newspapaer clippings and such, and some sets from movies about aliens. Truth be told ,you could get through it in an hour or less. But you come to roswell, that is the claim to fame.
But again, i am not an alien buff ,just went along with husband who wanted to see it. So take opinion for what its worth. Its only 5 bucks to get in so worth a stop anyway.
What i really enjoyed though was the alien stuff all around town. They have a sense of humor. And i enjoyed finding the alien themed geocache art outside roswell.
What i did learn at the museum that was interesting was that back in the day, nuclear missile silos ringed Roswell. No longer in use by military but owned by private people. Curious what they are doing with them

Visited on a Thursday afternoon. There are big signs at the door about mandatory masks and distancing, there are even temperature checks at the entrance, and the touchscreens are disabled purportedly because of Covid. Too bad it's all a smokescreen. The place was overcrowded and it was physically impossible to distance. Many visitors had their masks pulled down under the nose or even the chin. No one was checking.
The museum is otherwise in need of renovation and redesign: too many antiquated panels and too much reading in very small print

We went around Spring break and the museum was a bit overcrowded considering COVID is still going on. What was interesting was the amount of information included such as movies on alien life and also other UFO anomalies.
If it would not have been so overcrowded, we would have been reading many details but we just wanted to get it done fast. Bought some souvenirs and took some photos. It is very odd for someone who goes to fine art museums but if you like all this, I guess it might be great.
It was a bit run down. They could make it a bit bigger and prettier.

Are we allowed to visit? We are coming from Texas where Covid is in a red zone.

Yes...I just left there and it is up and running.
They take your temp and give you hand sanitizer when you go in, you have to wear a mask and they ask you to maintain social distancing guidelines.

How long should we allow for a decent experience?
Written December 29, 2018
We were there about 3 hours and quite honestly, I would have preferred staying a little longer (but kids got hungry). We could have come back the same day but got busy with other things and just didn't make it back. To answer your question more succinctly, I would give it at least 3-4 hours in order to really read everything.

The town in general seemed pretty "pet friendly". So much so that we actually asked a waitress about it. She said that they generally are to observe same protocols as everywhere else.
