We took New Mexico adventure company. The driver explained several stops on the way up that most people would never know! Trail was rough but fun! Once you get to the end goose lake is a wonderful sight!

I hiked the first part of this trail with my son daughter in law and two grandsons. They were geocaching and we walked for about a mile or so. It was pretty level and had a couple of creek crossings which were easy (with a little help for grandma in a couple of spots). It's a pretty spot. We took... More

The trail was steep, rough, and narrow but the lake was peaceful, relaxing, and beautiful! We took a picnic lunch with us and our cameras. Throughly enjoyed it! You need an atv to make this trip.

Well worth the trip/hike! Absolutely breathtaking! So beautiful! You have to try and see it before you leave town! You can take little breaks on the was up if the altitude gets you a little. Still worth the trip!

It is absolutely beautiful when the leaves are changing. Take a jacket, it gets cold up at the top by the lake.

Kind of at the limit for a novice rider, but a good trip. Try not to ride double if you can help it as the ride up (and down) has a ton of rise and falls. Top is beautiful and totally worth the ride. Go early so you can come down early and avoid the rush to the bar apres-ATV.... More

I suggest renting a Jeep at one of the places in town. They are all pricey but heck you only may do this once so splurge. You can also get a 4 passenger ATV which is good for the younger folks but the bumpy road can be hard on the booty for us experienced types. The trail has some nice... More
