It's hard to beat the Gila Wilderness for scenic beauty and solitude. This where you hide from the IRS! Lots of great trails, like the West and Middle Forks of the Gila River. Get out there and enjoy it.

The most beautiful place we have every been to. Absolutely gorgeous. We vacationed here and there was no end to the things to do and sights to see. The only negative was our stay at Lake Roberts Motel.

The wilderness is good for fans of hiking, bird-watching, taking a bath in the Gila River at a secretive place or looking for some almost still original hot springs. I love that world's first designated in 1924 wilderness area with wolves, javelinas, coyotes, bears and...More

We did a 4 day hike into the wilderness starting at the TJ Corral trailhead to the end of Little Bear Canyon for the first night. The distance was 4 miles. The weather was nice and the air cool since we started our hike late...More
