Lovely little theater with great popcorn, homemade bundt cake, and beer and wine as well as candy, coffee and sodas. You can sit in the theater seats or watch from a small table in the back. Great view of the screen no matter where you sit. Shows movies not shown in the regular theater.

This place has been our salvation since moving to Las Cruces. A great find just off the plaza in Mesilla. Cool in the summer and cozy in the winter. Their website is very complete with all the movies listed with times and dates. A fun plus now is that you can get an alcoholic drink next door (through a door... More

Cozy, with wonderful volunteers who feed you fresh food they make,(as fresh popcorn w/ REAL butter), wine and beer, table and chairs to choose from if you don't want the standard theater seating, and, best of all, wonderful films that present the world to you.. They have a different movie every seven days and I'm there for each of them...... More

This was a wonderful find. We went after dinner and had a great time. It is old but inviting to view a movie. Most movies are special and not at the main movie theaters. The workers are volunteers. You can get a hot drink, popcorn, etc. There are only about 30 seats but that usually isn't a problem. We had... More

This historic theater, restored as a movie theater, is fantastic ! ! Wonderful "artsy" ambiance, excellent selection of a single movie each week [shown for 7 consecutive days], offers the usual popcorn & candy, plus soft AND 'hard' drinks. Comfortable seating in cushy theater seats or at a "table for two"; your choice.

The Fountain is a gem. We went once and immediately became members of the Mesilla Film Society. Funky, laid-back atmosphere welcomes those of us who want to watch a film with other film lovers. If you feel the need for a cocktail, the side door goes to the restaurant and bar next door. Otherwise, the "snack bar" offers the usual... More

This little theater is a gem! It's the only "art" theater around. It shows the independent, foreign, and documentary films you can't see in the "regular" theater. Shows nightly at 7:30, and matinees on Sat. and Sun., check website for times. They MAKE THE POPCORN FRESH EVERYDAY AND USE REAL BUTTER!! it's the best in town. Sodas and candy are... More

Movies show at 7:30 which is late for us. I'm so glad we went. We saw a quirky movie we had never heard of that was really fun. Only $5 on Wednesdays and you can have a beer. Very old venue, loved the 100 year old murals on the walls.

My wife and I love to attend showings at this one of a kind theatre. We experience the best of films that maybe you never heard of because the filmmakers are not Hollywood oriented. But the taste of the selection committee is exemplary.

The Fountain Theater boasts some of the most interesting history in the area. The theater itself is run by volunteers. The building is historic and isn't the most cozy but it is quite quaint. The staff is friendly and the movie prices are cheap. The films screened are generally artsy or independent which makes for a much better experience than... More
