We rolled into Madrid on Thanksgiving Day and although none of the stores were open (including Maggies) it was a great place for a photo opportunity. The stores along main street were definitely worth investigating but our timing was not the best since we were there on Thanksgiving Day. We still had time for some photos.

As we were shopping, we were full of questions about Maggies and the community of Midrid. The retailer was on the outer edges of rude (I'm sure she had been ask those questions over and over) And the attitude was GO AWAY....My husband was planning. on purchasing a t-shirt and I was interested in the Route 66 Metal sign but... No eats but lots of Wild Hog t-shirts and memorabilia. If you liked the movie, and who didn't, it's a nice place to stop. The whole town is kind of cool, actually. The drive up highway 14 is also a scenic and leisurely way to get from Albuquerque to Santa Fe. We're glad we went that way.

Maggie's is a souvenir shop geared toured bikers and fans of the mediocre movie, Wild Hogs. There are wall to wall trinkets and t-shirts. The bar stools and booths are filled with t-shirts and trinkets as well. Overall, if you're a fan of the movie l, take a few pics, but don't expect too much.

This could be an great restaurant but it is just a tee shirt shop and trinkets. Very disappointed and you are best served to just take a photo from out front.

I've driven past the road to Madrid many times but this time we decided to go off the freeway near Santa Fe, visit Madrid, have lunch and enjoy a bike ride south to the I-40 hookup. Beautiful scenic area. Fun road - made for a bike! Maggie's Diner exists only in the movie "Wild Hogs." The film crew started with... More

Madrid is another of those places on Route 66 that look like a film set only in Madrid's case this is because it actually was a film set for the movie Wild Hogs. What was Maggie's Diner in the film is now a gift shop and makes a great photo opportunity. Madrid it's self is well worth spending an hour... More

In addition to Maggie's from the movie "Wild Hogs" there's the subject attraction which the kids and grandkids loved. The large plywood cutouts make for some great cut ups.

Great place to get fun movie souvenirs of the movie Wild Hogs. Too bad the place is not a real working diner. Fun place though. Worth stopping to see along with all of the other shops in Madrid. Enjoy!
