This is the largest land grant university in the US we were told. It is Big, and has nice buildings and open areas. They have a lot of activities, and we heard lots of great stories and good reviews about the University.
Nice seemingly safe campus. Picturesque with room to roam. Campus has a nice vibe. Lots of good restaurants near by. Close to a “real” city(El Paso) where you can experience a large city excursion full of great shopping and restaurant choices.

I spent some time riding around the campus at NMSU and was pleasantly surprised. I loved the look of the buildings, and like most university areas, there are many restaurants within walking distance. The student association building was really neat architecture.

First, you might want to know about the guest fee the summing pool has, which is 10$ per day. There is a membership but I guess it only applies for the relatives of students, staff and faculty members (I am not pretty sure). Second, the hours are Monday - Friday 6:00 am to 9:00 pm. Saturday 7:00 am - 7:00 pm, and Sunday 12:00 pm - 5:00 pm.
