A 'have to'stop

We were told to stop here on our way to tour the fabulous Jemez Springs region for a taste of the past and we were not disappointed. It was a 'step back in time' kinda place... read more

Was staying in town with a group of friends and stop in for dinner and a couple drinks. Walked in and realized that this place is probably THE place to go to in town. Friendly faces live music and an impressive bar menu to boot. My only complaint was that our cabin was a little too far away to thoroughly... More

With only two dining opportunities available in Jemez Springs, we weren't too excited about our chances of experiencing a wonderful meal. While I wouldn't call it wonderful, the food was good and there was plenty of it. The margarita was pretty darn good too.

Arrived at 2:15 on a Sunday, people there but open tables. The flies on the patio where intense. Ordered a coke & margarita & told the kitchen was "a bit busy". Waited 25 min for margarita, waitress was now apologizing for the busy bartender. After waiting 1:40 for food we noticed people who had come in after us getting there... More

We were told to stop here on our way to tour the fabulous Jemez Springs region for a taste of the past and we were not disappointed. It was a 'step back in time' kinda place. Has music at least on the weekends and just is something to see! Food is just ordinary, but that is not why you go,... More

There's nothing particular to recommend this bar/restaurant. Apparently it's something of an icon in the town of Jemez Springs which is kind of touristy at this point. It has the feel of a real western bar mainly because it is. Basically your standard bar food is served. The patio was wonderful the day we were there. The best thing we... More

The chile rellenos are amazing here and the service was great. The atmosphere was centric and reminded me of the old cowboy western days. Glad we stopped by, thank you for having us.

Living in the area for over 35 years Los Ojos Bar is a place to stop in between Rio Rancho and Los Alamos if you take the Jemez mountain route. It is a nice drive with lots of scenery. Dont be in a hurry though, the speed limits are enforced and don't travel there in the winter months. The Bar... More

Stopped by this restaurant on our way home and we're excited based on previous personal experience and reputation. However, the food was okay...almost like a small cafe with a lot of quick items. The prices for the amount of food you received were absurd...the size of the portions were considered a "snack" by my husband. The kids meal hamburgers were... More

The inside decor has a western look and people are all quite friendly. A busy Saturday afternoon left the (only) patio waitress quite overloaded. Bill had an extra item added...but that was corrected when drawn to her attention. DO NOT go there if you are in a hurry....because ordering, meal delivery, getting your tab is a 2.5 experience at best.... More
