I regret skipping the pie
Oct 2021
There’s a big gift shop, a restaurant and more. I ate at the restaurant that specializes in exotic meats. I had a elk burger which tastes normal. I didn’t like the fries. The burger was so filling I ate 7/8 of it and skipped dessert. I should’ve had apple pie 1st…that’s what they are known for…oh well.

Waste of time!
Oct 2021
This store has great advertising . A glossy red brochure lures you to this tourist trap. It is in a remote location and is nothing like described. A much smaller "barn" than pictured. There is basically one room filled with overpriced socks, etc. This is not a bakery. There are zero fresh apple products. A small corner sells cherry cider and stale appearing apple pie slices. There is a fudge counter. It is NOT worth the trip nor would I stop if I was driving by!

We stopped here after a trip to Bridal Veil Falls. Got some really nice stuff and fudge. We sampled the cherry cider ice. The lady checking us out was so very friendly, not only to us, but to everyone.
We ate at the restaurant and it was delicious!
Went back to store and got cherry cider ice to.go and she even remembered my name.
Definitely worth the stop! Would go back!

Stop for a cherry cider slush and some fun shopping!
Oct 2020
We were driving from Carlsbad to White Sands, so this was a great stop for a break. We all bought a cider slush and shopped around. Really enjoyed seeing all the neat items in the store.

Went for a ride with the little while the boys stayed home to relax. Found our way here. Found all the souvenirs we needed to bring back home plus some. Finding local fudge is a thing for us. We have tried a lot. When i tell you the salted Carmel fudge is the best. belive me

The sweet cherry cider is the best!
Aug 2019
Had Bison Burger $13.95 and Cherry Cider $6 @ Wild Game Bistro & Market. Yes we came for the burger but surprisingly found the best cherry cider in town. Only problem is that we have not found a source to buy cherry cider from this local brand: Old Apple Barn!

Waste of money; tourist trap
Oct 2019 • Friends
This has always been a fun stop for me, with all the nicknacks they have. We stopped for lunch, and the bathrooms were very clean as well as the restaurant, with a beautiful look. That’s really all I can boast about. I thought it was a great opportunity to try some “wild game” here, so we had a Bison burger and a regular beef burger. They definitely do have the charbroiled taste but we were not impressed with them at all, especially for the money we paid for otherwise flavorless burgers; I could barely eat half. We also ordered a pint of the “baked” macaroni thinking it would be delicious, and that was another sad disappointment and waste. The tea, bad. Boulder brand chips, bad. The pie, which I’ve had in the past and will never splurge on again, is mediocre. The advertisements are great, and beautiful all over the area, I just wish they actually lived up to the expectations presented by their signs when it comes to all aspects of the business. That’s a for sure sign of a tourist trap, and it’s time they step up with their food.
