This is a very interesting museum. It has a lot of unique items donated by families from Gallup. It has a very good history of mining in the Gallup area.

This is a small space, packed full of things. There is a lot of history, especially as it pertains to the coal mining industry in and around Gallup. Nice stop, especially on a hot day

This museum is not very big and is packed full of all kings of things. Its free but there is a suggested donation of $2. Lots of coal mining history information and tools, and history of the area. It only took me about 30 minutes...More

This museum is about the history of Gallup. It has a lot of items from founding families. The staff is very willing to answer any questions about the items or the railroad and coal mining. They ask for a $2 donation per adult.

A lot of history about the area and some more information on the Navajo code talkers that wasn't included at the actual code talkers museum.

Looks like a lot of folks have donated items to this museum. Would be especially interesting to locals. I didn't know of the importance of coal to the city
