Want to know what Gallup is about, go dancing at Shalimar, unlike some reviews say, you don't get shot here. The drinks are cheap and this is just a perfect way to get some insight into what Gallup is about. Perfect Place to dance the night away in New Mexico. By the end of the night you will be an... There are not a lot of places to dance in Gallup. A friend and I decided to head over to this establishment. When we arrived around 11pm, the parking lot was pretty sparse for a Friday night. There was a cover charge due to a live band playing that night. Upon entering, you could see a split of ages, older... More

I'm engaged to a native American woman. Stopped in having no ideas of what to expect. The band and two step dancing were great. This is a Navaho club. I like chubby middle aged women. A friendly Navaho man started talking to me and i couldn't get rid of him. I'm not used to gay men trying to hit on... More

Hey folk's a co worker and I stopped by one a weekend and it was packed. they had a live band there as well. they had security and the staff was very professional and friendly. However, just like any other place that serves alcohol you will have your issues as well. over it was a decent place.

A friend and I went to The Shalimar Lounge and Dance Hall to shoot a few games of pool. Pool tables were dirty and the cue sticks had no tips on them. Some the beverages that where sold to us were out of date from Nov.2014. But the live band music was great and so was the DJ.
