Holy mackerel! This museum exceed my expectations by leaps and bounds. Totally volunteer staffed, volunteer remodeled, with all donated items. Incredible historical collection of local artifacts. Fills up a two-story armory building. Western artifacts & rock collection are fantastic. You will need at least three to four hours to see and appreciate everything. TEN STARS!

There's a lot to see here! There are areas of: dolls, Native American pottery, bead work, etc. Local history, an extensive collection of rocks, and much more. The museum is manned by friendly volunteers and admission is free. Donations are gratefully accepted, appreciated, and appropriate. The size of their collection and the method of display is outstanding.

This is one of the nicest museums I've visited! You can spend hours and still not see everything. They have some very unique collections - liquor decanters, thousands of dolls, doctors equipment, cars, etc. It is worth your time and a don't miss if staying in Deming!

This is a very interesting and educational museum. Not only travelers, but locals should visit and learn about Luna County's history.

The museum is housed in the old USO building in central Deming. On my last visit in 2006 the museum was only on the ground floor, but it has now expanded to the upper floor and has lots to offer. The entrance was manned by a lovely gentleman who welcomed us very warmly. There was so much to see, tons... More

For a "City" Museum in a relatively small town it is one of the best in the country. Well put together and has "local" archaeology of a caliber only found in large University or even "National" Museums.
