A somewhat biased review because I have chosen to live here

Lived in the Villiage of Corrales for many years. On a recent trip back, we were surprised that so many businesses are no longer around. The biggest shock was that Rancho Corrales was torn down. Sad for history. Saw many new businesses so hope they can stay afloat. So glad the growers market is still going strong. When going past... More

Corrales is a village that tries to maintain a rural and agrarian setting close to a larger city. The village prides itself on being animal friendly so you will find llamas, chickens, and horses pretty much everywhere. The speed limits are low but that forces you to slow down in an otherwise clock-driven society. I personally found that this has... More

The village of Corrales is located in the northwest valley of the greater Albuquerque area. However, even with it's close proximity to Albuquerque, Corrales is a unique village full of surprises. Brush up on your New Mexico history and Corrales becomes alive! It is still an agricultural area with a growers market twice a week, and Wagner farms free produce... More

Corrales is a fun place to visit (and live). There are many nice restaurants and shops. Check out the Corrales Comment paper on-line or the Village website for upcoming activities. It seems there is always something going on - the Sunday Grower's Market, seasonal parades, Art walks, etc. Corrales is a very safe place to visit and live with virtually... More

I traveled through this friendly town twice. Citizens are warm, friendly to a me, a lost traveler. I'd go back in a heartbeat !

At least a couple times a month I take my dog for a scenic ride through Corrales. Love the Bosque Art Gallery, Quilts Olé, ARCA vegetable stand. Driving down various roads to see beautiful homes, lush landscapes, horses, old trees.

Quaint shopping close to Albuquerque. Lots of artists and shops. Great walking and close to the river.

Maybe we just didn't see enough of this area but it was a large suburb with big lots of several acres. We did not see a town center and walking around would be difficult because there are no side walks. You can not walk to restaurants and driving at night is difficult without street light anywhere. It is a dark... More
