We've only been living in Albuquerque for 6 months,so just finding our way around. On Friday,we decided to try the local wineries First one,Corrales Winery.,The setting is gorgeous. The tasting room overlooks the Sandia Mountains, which makes the experience even better. We tasted a few whites, and one red.I really liked the 3 I tried, and bought a bottle of Viognier, and my husband bought a bottle of Merlot. Each bottle was $25.00,and they only sell there. The woman who served us,gave us alot of info, very nice person, and has alot of knowledge. After the tasting,we went outside to the beautiful garden.Next time we'll bring some cheese and crackers to enjoy with the wine outside

The most important thing to know about Corrales Winery is that it produces some truly great wines and sells them only from the Winery, possibly explaining why many people haven't heard of it. It is a small, family-run winery, and on any visit you're likely to see the owner/vintner/bottler (Keith) out in the fields, checking grapes or weeding. The tasting room is also small, open Wed-Sun, Noon to 5 PM. This is not a California yuppie tasting room. It is overseen by a knowledgeable lady who has been there a long time, and happily offers tastings of the available wines. If you like one, buy it, because you'll never see it anywhere else, and they usually sell out (prices are very reasonable --mostly in the $20's). If Keith is available, you might get a tour of the operation. My personal predilection is for reds, and right now they have a 2011 Cabernet, boasting a 16.8% alcohol content that is a real treat and will knock your socks off. Also, though it may be at it's prime and should be drunk soon, if you're lucky there could still be a bit of the 2008 Merlot remaining--one of those wines so pleasing to the palate that one wants to sip it and enjoy every mouthful rather than just drinking it. If your previous experiences with wineries have been replete with snobs and stuffed shirts, the Corrales Winery will provide a simple, down-to-earth experience and offer you wines comparable to any you'll find elsewhere.

Fantastic experience! Whether you drink wine or not, this is a MUST visit. Beautiful views of the Sandia mountains. With it being the end of December, were hundreds of migrating Sandhills cranes-in and around the property offering beautiful photo opportunities both in flight and standing in the vineyard. The views out of the tasting room windows were breathtaking. There are picnic tables and lawn area to enjoy in warm weather. Karen gave a very educational and enjoyable tasting experience. They have a variety of red and white ranging from dry to sweet and the 3 of us all found ones we purchased bottles of to enjoy at home.

Corrales Winery is north of the village of Corrales on the west side of Corrales Road. Nestled back off the road you'll enter with the vineyard on your left. The tasting room has a wonderful and very comfortable view of Sandia Mountain and the vineyard. The wines are local and will probably satisfy most any palate.

We were surprised by the Rojo and Mariachi reds. Delicious and special. I also liked the Riesling which is unusual for me. Bought a case!

Excellent boutique type winery. The staff are very friendly and the wines are very good. The Riesling and Cab are our favorites. Great stop on a wine tour of the area.

My wife of 49 years decided to do a Father's Day Celebration early with our Son on Friday; We were greeted by Barbara Johnstone that explained their lovely wines. We chose the reds and the first four were on-the-house. Afterwards we took our glasses along with our cheeses & wraps out to the patio.
The New Mexico sky was bright blue with a lovely breeze.
Needless-to-say while this Winery is new their wines are to die for...Plan to go back!!

To me I am more of a consider with wines that have more body and flavor, these wines
Highlight the place were the wine is made.Grapes are processed for different flavors.
If your just looking for wines to taste for the fact of a free day out, this for you.

We come to taste the wines a few times a year with friends - it's always fun and Corrales wines are the best in the area, imho! The tasting room is a beautiful space with a BIG view of Sandia Mtn.

When I want a top quality wine, I (and often with visitors) will make sure to get some at this winery. Small production, award winning and local wines to savor.
Not to be missed for any visitor to Corrales NM. The tasting room commands a spectacular view of the Sandia Mountain.
