OPEN ON THE WEEKENDS! We almost did not go because the hours listed on another site stated that the Santuario are closed on Sat and Sun. They are open daily from 10:00 to 5:00 from October to April. In the other half of the year...More

This is a very interesting church. I cannot say that I had a moving religious experience but obviously lots of other people do. The atmosphere of miracles and healing is not something that people experience in their daily lives. I felt that I was seeing...More

Pictures can not capture the beauty of this historic, old church. Considered a very holy place by the faithful, the Lourdes of America, I felt blessed to have spent my birthday at such a special place.

No thrills no spills. Its a sanctuary. I get the feeling many (most?) of the people who come here are in it for the spirituality. This is not a "tourist attraction" (I thought it irreverent the lady filling many plastic canisters with Holy Dirt as...More

This place is so beautiful and serene to visit. Very peaceful and going into the chapel is a very calming effect. Beautiful place.

I visited the sanctuary based on a friend's recommendation. He had visited some years ago and went there to be healed. And he was healed! He returned with me and I had a spiritual experience while I was there. The sanctuary is beautiful and very...More

in 2014 I had been here asking for healing after being diagnosed with breast cancer and before surgery. I went through surgery, chemotherapy and radiation but I feel I received a healing miracle because even though the tumor was 6cm big and there were cancer...More

An area filled with spaces and places to reflect on life and faith, whatever your faith may be. We were a group of 8, with 2 Catholics, a Buddist, several Protestants and "others" and each of us felt some kind of a spiritual connection. The...More

It is truly a beautiful historic sanctuary and the dirt which believers say have miracle powers is in a special room next to the chapel. We watched a family bring their handicapped daughter into the room in a wheelchair and remove her shoes and dust...More

It is never too busy to be there except during Holy Week when pilgrims walk to the sanctuario from many miles away. At least that has been my experience.

Not sure as i'm not a local. Suggest you call Sacred Heart or Santuario and ask about local transportation for Good Friday service.
