This is the main place to stroll in town. It is a pedestrian area with a nice park on one side and an array of shops of all types on the other side. Several vendors were selling popcorn. Strolling by one night there was some music being played which attracted a decent crowd. There are lots of seats to sit and people watch.

This is the main drag for Berat, and part of it is pedestrian only. (And it’s being extended towards the Moslem quarter and fortress.) in the evening you’ll find the cafes and restaurants that line the pedestrian street full with locals, and kids riding their bikes. Good place for coffee and watching the world go by.

The Bulevardi Republika street is the main pedestrian zone of the Berat city, which is tightly connected to the old part of the city. As the usual main pedestrian zone, it has a lot of shops, cafes and bars, which might be nice after you visit Berat's Castle, Old Town and its museums, churches and mosques. From this street you may take very nice pictures of the old part of the Berat. It is a relaxing and nice place, thus all recommendations to visit this place, should you visit UNESCO-protected beautiful city of Berat.

I walked around here both during the day and at night. This is a wonderful community space, and is the type of space every town should strive to create. The restaurants available are many, but not varied or that memorable. Still, you will easily find something to satiate your hunger, or thirst.

I enjoyed watching the kids on the super fast bumper cars (way more intense than what you find in the US). Look for the lady with the old-school cobbled together cotton candy trolley.

Here you can see the locals hanging out with their entire family plus their relatives. You'll also see vendors selling sunflower seeds, sour plums, popcorn and other snacks. It reminded me of my hometown in Iraqi Kurdistan.

The Republic blvd is set just beneath the Berat castle and Mangalem quarter, connecting them with new Berat part of town.
It stretches parallel to the river and a park and is a nice place to relax in one of many bars/restaurants along it after exploring the sites. Very relaxed atmosphere and friendly people.

Nothing really special this pedestrian boulevard in the center of Berat. Anyway a nice long open tree lined boulevard, a place to have a stroll along and watch local people. It is along the river, one side with public spaces and a lot of benches, the other side is lined with cafes offering inside and outside seating. Good for viewing the hillside houses, the gorgeous Ottoman houses.
Apart from this there is a little to see - or do!

We enjoyed walking along the promenade of Berat. The day was sunny and lovely. The cafe's and restaurants alongside the promenade had all taken tables out and it we enjoyed sitting outside, eating pizza and drinking refreshing Albanian beer. Later on we enjoyed an ice-cream before we headed our way up to visit the castle.

We enjoy walking in this bulevard. Yuo can walk or take a coffee or something else in the bars along the street. A lot of trees give to this bulevard a fresh air. They are making a new road to extend the bulevard. I am sure i will come back to see it .
