Beautiful location on the beach and while the location itself it quite a distance from the main town there is plenty to do and buses that will take you from VinWonder next door to downtown if you need. Happy with the hotel experience - the staff really does try and help you any way they can. Particularly the lovely Ms Khanh at reception - who can’t help you enough and Jenny from the restaurant who also was excellent.

I played there several times and was always satisfied by the helpful staff in arranging tea time as a single player. Caddies were all good. The course is not five star but for the island it is ok, the greens and the course are well maintained and there are huge trees and nice forest in the surrounding,
The place is about 40 minutes with the taxi from the center. They have special price for tea off at 2:30 pm , but not on Saturday and Sunday

I play off of 6 and phoned ahead to ensure I could play from the long tees. I asked that I could be put into a group so as not to play alone. They said it was all ok. No problem. When I got there I was assigned a caddy and said to him that I would like to hit some range balls first. He said i would have to tee off in ten minutes. I arrived ONE HOUR before tee time. Then I was taken to the "1st" tee and asked to tee off. I asked where the rest of the group were and was told no one available. I said that he could take me back to clubhouse as did not want to play. They then radioed someone and was told another player was available. So I said ok. Other player was total beginner. Played off short tees. Other guy took 16 shots on the first par four! Total shambles. Caddie did not know yardages, clean clubs or mark balls. (other caddy did). Really awful experience and very uncaring attitude by clubhouse.

The course lay out is nice enough and in good condition. The service doesn’t stack up for the cost though.
The first round we played they forgot to put our booking in the system when we called ahead. Then they stung us with a holiday surcharge when we got there which increased the price for two players out past US$500.
We asked to use the practice range to warm up and our caddies pushed us onto the tee 20 minutes before our tee time despite there being no one else there.
The second time we called to reserve a tee time and were allocated a spot at 2:30pm.
Whilst the first tee was free, we were moved to the 2nd to start and grouped with another pair.
This would normally be fine however the other couple took forever and we couldn’t finish our round before dark.
When we suggested we shouldn’t be charged full price the manager told us that we should have been able to get around 18 as a pair before sunset. They paired us with the other group and caused the delay.
The caddies were inattentive and spent a lot of the time on their phones. Their suggestions on how the greens would play was often wrong. Hire clubs are over priced and the grips were fairly worn/ weathered.
Course toilets weren’t open which wasn’t ideal for the ladies in our group.
Club house is pretty much non existent - it’s a shack with a reception desk.
The resort is a 10 minute trip down a busy road in a golf cart.
Unfortunately there are no other courses on the Island. Be prepared to pay top dollar for some mediocrity. There are courses in Vietnam to play with better atmosphere, caddies, service and facilities and I suggest spending your money there.

Having played golf in most countries, i can humbly say vietnam phu quoc is incredibly affordable.
Arrived in my hotel Vinpearl at 2pm. Called the pro shop who said come on down.
Shuttle direct from my villa to golf course. Greeted by 2 lovely caddies who bowed and smiled. Receptionist arranged my golf clubs, golf buggy and caddy. Out on course within 10minutes. Absolutely no one on the course, zoomed thru the holes seamlessly.
Golf course is in perfect condition. Tee boxes in wonderful condition. Fairways mowed flawlessly, greens true and fast. Every bunker was raked perfectly. Monkeys on several holes.
Caddy Mou was all smiles knew her yardages perfectly which concurred with my laser range finder.
Tip- stay at Vinpearl resort. Golf buggy you to the golf course, and u get a massive discount on the golf prices.

I just paid US$420 for two people which included green fees, rentals of equipment (for two) and caddy fees. Apparently it is the holiday price so there was a premium. Especially we were not guests of the resort and the fees were very high.
There was nothing special about the golf course - I expected sea views given it is located in the island, but this golf course lacked character, and no sea views or nothing.
I wouldn’t even pay this price in one of the most expensive countries to play golf - let alone in Vietnam in such a mediocre golf course.
Not recommended at all- stick with water sports on this island.

Word of advise: reserve enough time for getting there. The speed of taxi drivers varies and we even had a flat tyre on the way back.
The price included greenfees, 2 caddies, 2 sets of clubs and a drink along the way, roughly 6m dong.
The clubhouse and locker rooms were nice and airy, there were enough people to serve with everything!
Monkies sometimes steal balls, we saw several on the fairway.
Very quiet overall in december, we saw one other group of players.
At the end you rate the caddies with a card you drop in a box; a third Person overlooks your score so it would take a lot to give any other rating than excellent.

Firstly, it’s not a 27 hole course as advertised. It’s 18, 40 range balls cost 100,000 dong. As a solo golfer I wanted to start early to avoid the big groups.. no deal, I had to start at 8am. The result was a crazy slow 2/3rds of a round of golf. I went in after 11 holes. No marshaling on the course, no playing through courtesy. I could have easily tees off at 7:15 instead I was ushered into hitting range balls. While the
tee box sat empty.
No one at the front desk seeded to understand what the problem was. So it’s quite a frustrating experience. Then as I sat in the bar waiting for my shuttle, they came and challenged me because of my guest review of the pace of play, because I said it was slow. Not cool.
The actual course is nice, maintained well, there is nowhere to sit down at the tee boxes so I ended up standing around for 10-15 mins at each tee. There is no discount for being a Vincom member or playing several times during your stay, and you also can’t charge anything to your room even though you are a Vinpearl guest. It’s all a little weird. I don’t think I’ll bother bring my clubs next time. Here are some photos and a shot of the price structure if your interested.

The price for the course is ok but if you have someone who only wants to follow they will charge
you 25€ this is way too
The conditions of the course is good but the greens are extremely slow.
Caddie was ok not always good with the distance left. ;(
And watch out for the monkeys they are stealling food out of the golfcar.
The English of the staff can be approved...
No much booking we have been by ourselves all 18 wholes.

I am very much interested in the resort. I and my wife plan to visit there sometime in mid-November for four nights this year. I have questions the following questions;
1. Do you have any package/special discount program for the guests who stay at the resort and want to play golf every day? What I mean is a sort of stay-in-and-play-golf package.
2. How can we get to the resort? We will start our trip to the islands from Sihanoukville, Cambodia. My question is whether a kind of direct ferry boat service from Sihanoukville to your islands would be available? If it is not the case, what would be your advice/recommendations on how to get there?
Your guidance would be highly appreciated and BR
