nothing to see
Nov 2019
Just driving around looking at trees, unfinished buildings, parking lots. No wildlife. Nothing but roads and trees. The island beach area was worth visiting but no worth the trouble of getting there

Limited access
Jan 2019 • Couples
This was part of one of our Island trips. Nothing really to shout about as access is very limited as the army take up most of the forest. Being a keen bird watcher I thought this will come up trumps, no it didn't I heard one bird singing in the distance. Thank goodness our guide was able to make the walk interesting with his knowledge of the forest. One good thing the shade was much appreciated.

Phu Quoc National Park Walk
Jan 2019 • Friends
Pleasant walk in rainforest, no signs in any European language, no explanations, no sense of a destination. The first hundred metres is a complete guide to the entire walk in the absence of any expert explanation

Unforgettable

We had a good tour guide named Zoom Zoom, who made our forest trial in National Park very interesting. We four people including my 8 year old son walked around 1 hour in the park. Zoom Zoom showed us so many typical trees, mushrooms and other plants and animals of here in Vietnam. There is a forest trial way of 20K totally for one way. You have to return back on the same way. On our way back, we met a severe rain unexpectedly, which made us think of the story of Forrest Gump. Yes, the sudden rain, That is Vietnam!

Really weird location! Creepy place and very rude angry gyu yelling us to go away. I don’t know if we were there after hours or something but definitely not worth it.

Disappointing
Jan 2018 • Friends
What is meant here is the forest walk (mentioned in all maps) in the north-west of the island. It is indeed the only official possibility to visit and explore the national park. However, if you have ever seen the rain forest or even a primary rain forest he will be very disappointed. What you see is mainly a forest and not a rain forest. Looks quite similar to a forest in Europe. No palm trees no plants with huge leaves.

Okay, there are some single trees that are taller than trees in Europe. Here and there you see little plants growing on trees like in a rain forest.

But overall very disappointing for such a region so close to the equator.

We were not allowed to enter the park By the rangers. One were sitting in front of the entrance and told us to go.

Poor with nothing to ser

We visited here by accident while we were searching for the starfish-beach with scooters. We saw some people entering the park and decided to give it a try since we were already there. Dry path in the woods, some big old trees. No animals, just nothing to see. We walked around 2km and turned back cause our kids were bored. Walked back to our scooters and finally found the starfish-beach, which was awesome.

Quiet with very little access
Dec 2017 • Family
There is very little access to he park so very little to comment on. We managed to skirt around where possible and managed a little stroll down one of the trails, lots of noise in the trees and came across a little snake crossing the trail.
In summary not a lot to see but perhaps that is a good thing if they can preserve what's left.

This National Park was a wonderful place but it was before they cut the park in half to let Vingroup built their hotels and safari.
