Beautiful beach visit...if you avoid the crowds!!!

Pristine water and beach. Head to the north end of the beach to avoid all the tourists waiting to get on the boats or their rides back to town. The north end you'll have to dish... read more

probably the best beach on the island, and nearly deserted at the time of year I was there (not that I'm complaining). Beautiful white sand, and sparkling blue water. Definitely worth visiting.

Pristine water and beach. Head to the north end of the beach to avoid all the tourists waiting to get on the boats or their rides back to town. The north end you'll have to dish our 150,000D a chair (with towels)to relax or go to next bunch of chairs ( not as nice but same beach) and spend the... More

Stunning beach that is been developed in rate of knots... Avoid busy middle and go for quiet sides.. Loads of boats for marine park visits and jet ski rentals! Restaurants and few places for accommodation!

Great beach, amazing scenery, recommend to anyone on the island, well worth a visit. The rubbish is evident on the beach, certain sections worse than others, we found a massive 200m section that was pretty much u touched and clean. So not ruined like other reviews say. Some bars and restaurants, and boating and water sports offered, but was there... More

The beach did not look like the photos posted in the travel agency or the internet at all Trashes are littered on the water, you can see that only vietnamese tourists swim in the ocean and not the foreign ones. Not to mention during travel season this beach is flooded with tourists and when they left they leave a mountain... More

Sao beach is the most beautiful beach in Vietnam. We stayed here 3 days. It was a pleasant experience

Visited Sao beach on a wet and humid day. You could still see what this beach would be on a sunny day. Magnificent white sand, and clear blue water. Hard to get to on a rutted and rough track. But why oh why the rubbish?

If the beaches are closed on the western side of the island take a short drive to Sao Beach. It is a family friendly water playground where you can wade out a hundred feet without the water getting over your head. The view from the water is lush forested mountains. The restaurant lining the beach allows you to pick your... More

Sao Beach is ranked as top site of Phu Quoc but what a disappointment. What a dirty and smelly place. We visited the beach on a Saturday and the amount of people and the noise from all those boats waiting for tourists to bring them to neighboring islands was simply incredible. It could be a lovely stretch of sandy beach... More

I am giving Sao Beach 1 star to dissuade people from going there in a desperate attempt to encourage the authorities to clean up the place. They have the most beautiful beach in Vietnam but it has quickly become a disgrace. The amount of rubbish lying around is disgusting. Its not the odd bottle and plastic bag that is the... More
