Here is quite crowded and messy. The price and service is not good enough. Long beach is better option.

Much better than the beaches on the western side of the island, particularly in the wet season. The water is cleaner (still not brilliant), the beach itself is nicer and much less rubbish in the water or on the beach.

We arrived by bus but most people seemed to arrive by boat, and there were lots of them. Some of our group swam in the cordoned off swimming area but weren't that complimentary about the water cleanliness. There were many people selling food, jet ski rides etc. We even saw half a dozen cows walk along in front of us.... More

I went with a scooter to see Sao Beach. From the highway you follow 4 km a red dusty and highly bumpy road to reach the eastern coastline. Only where the restaurant and bar is, you find the nice white sandy beach, all clean. If you walk left or right you will find the rubbish and even a sewer letting... More

A beautiful beach, but a shame about the lack of facilities and the rubbish. Phu Quoc is one to avoid at the moment, or come 10 years ago...

The weather was so nice for swimming. We did have lunch and swim here. The restaurant was busy at the time but everything could be well managed. You can feel the sand was so soft and the sea was so cool. We loved swimming time here with beautiful and quiet scenery. Would recommend for everyone.

Sand was lovely but totally ruined by rubbish, cheap tacky bars & Fisherman's nets everywhere. The amount of rubbish was shocking....mounds piled up everywhere.

Clean water, white sand and not to many people make this beach for me the best in the island. The but was the small restaurant at the end of the beach (left hand side) that had a terrible service and the food was not ok at all but there are other we don't try at the entrance that might be... More

The beach has some great sand. Unfortunately there is so much garbage littering the sand. Additionally, there was quite a bit of nasty brown run-off flowing across the beach and into the ocean.
