What a fun way to spend 90 minutes. Superfine warm mud pours over you into a pool big enough for four.
It dries to a crisp in the sun. Rinses off in a shower then foot massage spa jets and running the gauntlet through sideways jets and a swimming pool... with a fresh coconut brought to the edge of the pool while we swam away the day and chatted.
Amazing fun. Get there early for personalized service without the crowds. (1030am was fine)

Spent a nice and relaxing morning at the Galina mudbath and spa on our recent visit to Phu Quoc during a heavy rainstorm. As a result we were the only people at that time of the day.
Very helpful and welcoming staff (Especially Ms Hanna) who greeted us warmly, guided us around each stage of the mudbath and spa and then saw us off with some ginger and a glass of hot tea.
Didn't try the massages so cannot comment on them.
Overall, it was a very pleasant and relaxing way to spend a couple of hours on a rainy day in Phu quoc.

We passed by this place and decided to go the next day. This was a very pleasant mud bath experience. The mud baths are in a garden and very relaxing to sit out there. Each tub is quite large and is good for around 4-6 people. There are a series of stations to go through (including a Jacuzzi), but the mud bath is the highlight. Unlike Tam Bun in Nha Trang, Galena Mud Bath is not crowded at all, hence it is very relaxing.

I visited with 2 friends and the three of us asked for a scrub and a massage.
The scrub was extremely rushed and was not relaxing at all. The therapists actually took our clothes off when we weren’t undressing fast enough. They they literally slapped the liquid onto us- there was no scrubbing involved, wrapped us up in plastic and left us for 45 mins. We then had scorching hot showers and were taken into a different room for massages. One of the therapists took a phone call during the massage. One of my friends had to ask their therapist to stop looking at their phone. As we were all in the same room, our therapists were talking constantly to each other. Considering this is not a “cheap” massage place, it was way over priced for what we received. We asked to speak to the manager and were told that there was no manager present at that time. After 30 minutes of negotiating with a manager over the phone, we got a refund on the price of the scrub. Save your time and money and find somewhere else.

We stayed at the resort nearby so we thought we'd go in for the Mudbath which also includes some time in the pool, jacuzzi and sauna. The staff didn't even greet us when we walked in. She just pointed at the menu (didn't even smile). We should have turned around right there. We booked the 90 minute mud bath anyway. They pushed us thru the different stations like sheep. The spa does not have a relaxing vibe at all. We felt like we were just going thru the motions. I would recommend searching out some better rated spas.

We visited here pretty much as soon as we arrived on Phu Quoc island and before we had our bearings. The price of a massage is more than double some of the other local places on the beach and along the road nearby, and it wasn’t worth the extra money. The massage was ok, but the main issue I had is that it didn’t appear to be very clean. The floors in the massage rooms needed a sweep and through the hole in the massage table I could see what was supposed to be a pretty bowl of flowers as a focal point, but it was dusty and had hairs in. There was also a plastic wrapper on the floor. The towels didn’t feel very fresh either. There are better options elsewhere in the local area in my opinion.

Awesome concept, horrible execution. We opted for an hour mud bath experience, followed by an hour massage. We went at 6pm, thinking that it’d be a little cooler out for the mud bath, which is warm. They don’t have any fans out there, so once the sun set, the mosquitos descended upon us. The mud bath would have been quite nice and relaxing, but instead we spent the 20 mins on mosquito defense. They lead you through the rest of the experience, which probably would have been fun (outdoor shower to wash off mud, walk way with horizontal water jets, pool), but there were just too many mosquitos. The last step is to relax in the indoor hot tub for 10 mins. They left us in the room for about 20. The hot tub was fine, but not the cleanest.
Then we got changed into a robes for 1-hour massage. I opted for Thai massage, which is usually my favorite, but my massage therapist was....inexperienced? Out to get me? Homicidal? I don’t really know what her deal was, but it was the longest hour of my life, fearing that this tiny 95 lb woman was going to snap my ankle or or pierce my skin with her nails.
This place could be awesome, but it’s just not.

It was a rainy day so me and my boyfriend decided to invest almost €100 each to spent 3 hours there. Also unsure about the mixed reviews here, I fdecided to give it a try. Should have stopped and asked my money back right at the beginning when the super rude front desk woman pushed me to the dressing room shouting at me that I should change into a bikini and... Disappeared. They simply left us there and just when I walked to the front desk again she impoletely point us to the right direction, the mud bath, which was... Full of trouble again.
We wait for about 10 minutes to the bath to fill up a few centimeters, when we asked how much more should we wait we always got the answer "2 minutes" then we were asked to get in the still very empty bath. I was very unsure what was going on and had to look around to see a couple in another bath nearby having their bath full while ours was still not even covering our feet after 15 minutes... I decided to leave and then someone called a supervisor, then a very nice manager that offered us a refund for the problem, and after that, the bath was finally filled too, and very enjoyable, as well as the steam bath and the long massage (although yes, the girls will often talk to each other while working and mine was deliberately checking her phone from time to time while massaging me). I was finally very relaxed afterwards until I came back to the dressing room to find out my clothes were missing... All my patient was gone by then and I'm still unsure how my clothes were not inside of the locker (maybe the front desk woman was trying to piss me off even more? Maybe I was too nervous upon arrival and did not place my dress in the appropriate area, I really don't know anymore).
To finish, we were not fully refunded as promised - we got 400.000 dong bank and left the place more stressed than we were before. So I had to take the time to alert others that the experience is unfortunately not worth it as the employes don't take the customers seriously (except the manager, she was nice, polite, respectful and I wish all the others would have been the same)

My wife & I were staying at the Salinda Resort next door and had already enjoyed their spa, so we thought we'd try out Galina Spa to compare. We had popped in the previous day to get a price list and the receptionist assured us we could show up any time. Their website seemed to give a good impression.
COST : We paid 1,100,000 VND for two Vietnamese Massages (550,000 VND each)
RECEPTION : After paying, we sat in the reception and waited. The receptionist said nothing about how long we would have to wait (we had to prompt her). We honestly wondered if this were an elaborate scam and began to worry that no-one was ever going to show up. Eventually, after about 10 to 15 minutes, two masseuses appeared and we followed them up to a room the 1st floor. The spa itself did not look not busy.
MASSAGE SESSION : the massage treatment itself was OK but unremarkable; however, what spoiled the evening were the following points :
- the masseuses did not leave the room so we could get changed; they just stood there, watched and waited
- the masseuses did not dim the lights; they left them full on for the whole session
- when the session started my masseuse started chatting to someone on her mobile phone; she then continued to chat with the other masseuse
- after about 10 minutes, my masseuse left and another took over
- at the end of our session, the masseuses did not change any of the linen and towels that they'd used; they simply refolded them, ready for the next customer !
SUMMARY : having visited a good number of spas in other countries over the years, we can say this was certainly *not* a high-end relaxing spa experience; this felt more like an over-priced "cheap" massage parlour. We will remember this place as somewhere *never* to revisit or recommend.

Paid for the 90 minute package and was suprised when asked to leave the mudbath after just twenty minutes. Was then ordered to shower following which was told that we were able to swim. After twenty minutes in the pool we were asked to move to ‘the jacuzzi’. These were jets not a sit down jacuzzi which was fine but the attendant insisted we walk back and forward until he felt we had spent enough time in there. As we declined to use the sauna due to the heat, the whole thing lasted no more than fifty minutes. Feel quite disappointed at the cost of 560k, it wasn’t even that busy so there was no reason to rush us out of the mud bath when we had already stated that we weren’t using the sauna and steam room. There were many empty baths. We won’t be returning again; wouldn’t recommend this place.
