    Worth visiting. Beautifully maintained.
We were glad to have stopped here to visit. The temple and other structures were beautifully and ornately designed. We enjoyed taking photos of it all. As a place of worship for Buddhism, they have done a great job maintaining it to where tourists can appreciate its beauty.

    Majestic and Colourful
We visited this place on the way to Mekong Delta and the place looks grand, beautiful and is extremely clean. Different statues of Buddha are there to be worshipped, the whole place seems to be filled with so many colours, greenery, incredible wood carvings. There are two huge statues - one is of Sleeping Buddha and the other one is Buddha of Future. A great place for clicking dozens of pictures but do remember photography is restricted inside the main temple so please be mindful of the same.

Must see. An ornate temple, 7 story high Pagoda, and 3 massive 4 story high Buddhas. These gardens and shrines are both awe inspiring and meditative. A working temple with monks performing services makes for wonderful photos.

The Vinh Trang Temple was our first stop for the Mekong Delta tour and spent half an hour here. Our tour guide said that there is an altar in this temple where people pray so that they will be able to find their significant other.

When we arrived here at around 10 am, there were plenty of tourists already. Four buses were parked in front of the gates and obscured view of the beautiful arches. It was a pity that they parked there because the gates were incredibly detailed and intricately designed. Admission is free and photography is permitted inside the premises.

The temple grounds are adorned with ponds, trees, bonsai and shrines. Two massive Buddha (Reclining Buddha, Future Buddha) statues are found inside the temple grounds, and another one (Standing Buddha) just outside one of the gates.

The main temple is an impressive mix of French and Asian architecture. Tourists who enter the temple itself are asked to dress appropriately; entrance is at the right side of the building. The Vinh Trang Temple is an active temple and religious activities are done here. There are areas inside the temple where footwear must be removed before entering. I was fortunate to have seen and heard a monk chant a prayer in front of the main altar.

If for no other reason you need to visit the temple to witness the size of the happy Buddha. There are a number of Buddha to witness and the pagoda itself but ‘happy’ made my stop worth it.

Tip, wear long trousers if entering the temple.

After the half day trip of the Mekong Delta and a hearty lunch at the restaurant of Rach Mieu Ferry Terminal, we stopped to visit the beautiful pagoda that was built 165 years ago.

The colonial French architecture blends with the Asian (Thai and Cambodian), with other influences of the Champa era. The huge statues of sitting Happy Buddha and standing one are very impressive. A great way to end a fantastic trip organised by Exotissmo.

we visited this place as part of the mekong delata tour. I love the place. I can imagine visiting the place alone, wish it's not too touristy but I wouldnt be there if it's not.

the place is just amazing, everything inside speaks of vietnam, cambodia and chinese cultures. if you're coming during hot season, don't forget to bring your hat, and if you have one don't wear them inside.

Wow!! You must see this. Unfortunately it is a couple of hours drive out of Saigon, but if you are in the vicinity you must see this. Stunning! Awe inspiring! Amazing! The temple itself is beautiful with it's gates and large topiarised bonsai trees. But the Buddhas will blow your mind. There are three giant Buddhas, the Buddha of yesterday which is lying down, the Buddha of today which is at the gate, and the Buddha of tomorrow - commonly known as the happy Buddha - is smiling at the world. This is on the way to or from the Mekong.

Gorgeous temple, it took our breath away - the giant Buddhas in particular were incredible and unexpected. They are bigger than they appear in the pics. Be prepared for intense heat as there's no shade.
