On our way to the Mekong Delta, we stopped at "Vinh Tràng Chúa", also known as "Vinh Tràng Temple" or "Vinh Tràng Pagoda". This is one of the most beautiful and venerated Buddhist shrines in Vietnam. It dates from the 19th century and occupies an area of over 2,000 square meters. The temple complex mixes different architectural styles, including Asian - Cambodian, Chinese, Japanese and Vietnamese - and European characteristics - French, Renaissance and Romanesque. From afar, the temple resembles the iconic five towers of "Angkor Wat", in Siem Reap (Cambodia). Along the years, "Vinh Tràng Temple" has been built and rebuilt many times, but always maintaining its peaceful atmosphere, manicured gardens, ancient trees and the multiple sacred statues of Buddha and Buddhist deities. Unmissable to all those traveling around My Tho and the Mekong Delta in Southern Vietnam! Enjoy!

Must see. An ornate temple, 7 story high Pagoda, and 3 massive 4 story high Buddhas. These gardens and shrines are both awe inspiring and meditative. A working temple with monks performing services makes for wonderful photos.

on the way to or from the Mekong Delta, you will pass through My Tho. The one (and only) thing to see there is the Vinh Trang Temple. First it is a really nice, older temple. And second (and for the tourists first) there are three big Buddha statues beside the temple. picture time.

Visited this Temple as park of Mekong delta tour. 2 hrs drive from Ho Chi Minh it is a wonderful and peaceful temple. 3 big Buddha statues and a clean temple inside. Really a place to visit is traveling so far. Had excellent Sugarcane juice nearby temple for only VND 20000 ~ less than a dollar. While instruction is given not to wear hat and slippers / shoes, they don't insist and I noticed lots of tourists wearing shoes. I wish they insist tourists to follow rules
