Over a century-old house which is nicely conserved

Rarely seen old Thai house with nice architecture. Though over a century years of age, it is still well-conserved to tell its interesting history.

If you are passing by, it is worth stopping to have a look. There is no charge to get in & it's well restored. Not worth a detsour.

This house was built 103 years ago and was used as school in 1949. The building had been renovated again in 1993 and is opened for public to present Pan Yah style architecture. Open from 8am to 5pm.

The house is not especially old (at least by European standards) and not so special. There are only a few items inside and they are not that special either. It is a bit similar to the Jim Thompson House in Bangkok, but JT House is much nicer. The good thing is that is only a short walking distance from Phra... More
