About
The valley surrounding the Hunza River is home to some of the world’s best treks, with trail lengths ranging from a few hours to several days. Combine nature with history with a steep walk up to the 800-year-old Baltit Fort, and hire a tour operator to help you explore the magical villages, interact with the hospitable locals, and score the freshest apricots in the valley. Hunza Valley is exceptionally beautiful during the cherry blossom season in spring and for the changing colors of fall. Summer is rainy season and winter can get quite cold. – Tripadvisor

The Hunza Valley is one of the most beautiful places I have ever visited. It was everything I had hoped it would be, and a lot more. The scenery, nature and colours are all magnificent. I imagine whatever season you decide to visit you will uncover the beauty and calmness of this place. This area has so much to offer. You will be able to enjoy the mountains, the cold glacial streams, the beautiful blue rivers and lakes, star filled skies, nature at its best and of course the wonderful fresh mountain air. Quite apart from all the above, the people here are welcoming and delightful. The place is so safe. I was travelling alone and only ever felt warmly welcomed. I encountered no negative experiences. This fertile are is like a pantry, providing all sorts of delicious fruit and vegetables and honey. It really is no exaggeration to call this place a piece of heaven on earth. I visited in May and for my visit I was rewarded with warm sunny days, crisp cold nights, blue skies, snow capped mountains and apple blossoms. The cherry blossoms are normally in March. The cherries were in abundance on the trees but still ripening. I want to sing it from the roof tops just how amazing this place is but then there’s a part of me that wants to keep quiet as well because as it is now, it is charming, just beautiful and unspoiled.

We knew Mr. Maqbool very well because we already took a tour from him, so we decided to take a tour of Hunza and Skardu with Mr. Maqbool. Unfortunately, our flight ffrom Islamabad to Gilgit was cancelled, then we went by road on KKH via Besham. Over all the tour was wonderful and amazing, No doubt, Mr. Maqbool is really the best tour guide og Hunza and Pakistan. Highly recommended!!!

In September 2022, our group of four people had a great trip to Pakistan. We used Awesome Adventure Pakistan, one of the best local tour companies based in Gilgit, for a tour that covered Islamabad, Naran, Gilgit, Hunza valley, Passu, Khunjerab pass,Fairy Meadows, Babu sar top, Chilas etc. Altaf , the CEO of the company, worked with us throughout the process, ensuring the itinerary was customized for the places and helping us apply for Evisa. There was frequent communication. He was able to apply the necessary flexibility according to our specific needs during this trip, while taking care of all the other details, including transportation, accommodation, attractions, and domestic flights as well. Altaf is knowledgeable, fun to be with, and loved by all the locals. We felt like we were with friends rather than tourists. which is why we would be happy to recommend your services to other friends of ours. It was truly a wonderful experience and will remain in our memories forever.

We took the number of above tour operator & guide from our one American friend, who already visited Northern Areas of Pakistan with him in a group. Maqbool was really great & he helped out before, during and after our trip of Pakistan.
He is well experienced, educated, flexible, reliable, honest , knowledgeable and punctual. He is very well known and has very good net work with the local people & security agencies.
The most good thing was that like us he and his team was vaccinated of Covif-19.
Thanks for an excellent welcome during our first visit to Pakistan! We are already planning our next trip . All the best.

Hunza is a heaven on earth. Absolutely beautiful. You can go by yourself and hire your own car. Driving there is not a nightmare as in big cities (if you can manage with right-hand drive). I advise you to have a guide so you can communicate with local people and enrich your experience. If you decide to have a guide, please make sure you don't hire the guide Haider Abbas, from Hopar, covering northern Pakistan. He was very improper and tried to touch my body in the first day we were supposed to start our tour.

The Hunza Valley is one of the great wonders of the world but it is poorly known. Virtually everyone who has read about Hunza or been there is a fan. But, to the rest of the world it doesn’t exist.

I have written five articles on the Karakorum Highway in the past twelve months and one on the Kashgar Sunday Market in 2018 which may help those wanting to travel there. My latest article is on the Hunza Valley at breadtagsagas dot com may appeal to those involved in adventure travel.

Although the trip was undertaken in 1995, I suspect the information will help those wanting to go there today.

What used to be less accessible has become easily accessible but it is important also to remember how it used to be not so long ago.

Attabad Lake didn’t exist in 1995. Boats were the only way to cross between the two parts of the Karakorum Highway until fairly recently. One wonders what will happen next.

How stable is Attabad Lake? What would happen if the dam burst?

We had visited Hunza several time with different tour companies & tour guides but "Pakistan Guided Tours" is really the bestbof the best in Pakistan. Mr. Maqbool has a deep & authentic knowledge not only about Hunza but also about Pakistan.
We started our tour from Islamabad to Hunza & then ended in Lahore. We highly appreciate the services provided by PGT. He has good relations everywhere in Pakistan. We were treated as Vip tourists every where due to his good contacts, There were also our some foreign friends with us, they enjoyed a lot. Now very soon in future we shall make a plan to visit the South Pakistan with him. We highly recommend PGT. You can touch to Mr. Maqbool on his WhatsApp +92-333 4033331.
Again thanks of "Pakistan Guided Tours" to make our Hunza trip a tremendous & unforgettable.
