Another Pagoda. The views are nice..good place for sunset. As you needed remove the shoes, the floor was extremely Hot at the peak of the Sun. There are stairs to go up and a lift from the prison road and fire department.

i went in evening and its a nice place. Good place to spend some time praying, meditating/reflecting, as very quiet and not crowded. Also, you get great view of the city as well as river. Very close is view point and one can sit there...More

Definitely worth a visit. Looks a bit like a fortress on the hillside. Great views and good for sunset. Has a good selection of sitting and reclining Buddha's. Large reclining once halfway down I nearly missed.

Go at sunset, the views are wonderful. You might bump into one of the monks who says his father was British and born in town during the Second World War. Second time I've been and just as impressed.

We had only a day here and following the reclining Buddha recommend the sunset at the Pagoda overlooking the water. Definitely worth the short trip from town.

Taxi driver kindly showed us the antique monastery before we went up. The wood carved doors, at least a hundred years old, are really exquisite, Hindu style dancers and flying cherubs, what a mix. Take the curved stairway down from the complex top, turn left...More
